Seating inside and out reasonably priced too. Friendly bar lady. Sat outside on a hot late July day in 2020 with a pint of coors light. Near main road and not the nicest of guests bear to me on this day. Inside the pub is nice and certainly worth a visit when in Torquay. It is hidden around the corner just up from where the kids do their crab fishing in the small harbour on main road out of Torquay.

This is a nice little pub serving a good selection of beers at very good prices. It's a Craft Union Pub and has been done up to a relatively good standard, the bar staff were all very pleasant on the days I visited. If I lived in the area I could happily make this pub my local.

How can this place have a "great atmosphere" as some people say when they wont show the Wales and Northern Ireland games because they don't wear poppies. Pssssst you wont see them wearing or supporting them unless you actually look at them. Cymru am byth!

Although we did find the staff very friendly, we found the service horrendous. We were waiting ages and actually started to watch the staff to see if the locals were getting preferential service. We were sat in a visible place so not likely we were missed and forgotten about. It got to a stage we were about to stand up and leave until the waitress told us she would tend to us shortly. We waited almost half hour to be served, whilst we were waiting we watched staff clean empty tables even though there were plenty of seating available for any new customers.

She had a pint of lager, no grumbles, as a none drinker I had a pint of cola. It was terrible, watered down so much it was literally coloured soda water and I know it is difficult with the Covid restrictions at the moment, but I could not get beyond the subtle taste of disinfectant in my drink. It was no surprise we did not visit here again or order...

Went there for my birthday and honestly thought the lads had paid the staff to take the piss (they hadn't) took an age to get served even though it was relitively empty, pint was off and the bar lady/trany looked at me as if I had pissed on her christmas tree for asking for a fresh one. Food order was wrong plus burnt, when I told them they told me it was a mistake and they had now sold their last steak so I had to make due with what I had, was then charged for the original steak that was ordered which cost more. Paid it anyway just to get out of there. Got outside and some locals were giggling at us for even going there. They knew the bastards. Only go there to tuck a mate over, if not...

The Clock Tower in Newquay was an absolute breath of fresh air. After a disappointing experience at a previous venue, this place completely turned the evening around. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and upbeat atmosphere from the moment we arrived.

They’ve got a brilliant selection of drinks - something for everyone - and the service was spot on. There’s also great outdoor seating, perfect for catching some sun or just watching the world go by in the heart of town.

All in all, a lovely spot that really stands out for its warm vibe, great drinks, and genuinely kind team. Highly recommend if you’re in Newquay and want somewhere that...
