Just moved to the area and decided to go and ask if they had a table this evening with our 5 year old daughter as we were walking past. The worker looked us up and down and said he had no tables. We thought this was odd as the place seemed empty so on the walk home my husband called and asked to book a table for 10 minutes time and they immediately said yes. My husband then asked why they now had a table when we were refused at the door. He said they don’t allow children. Nothing on the website or door tell you they have a ‘no children’ policy and it was not mentioned when asking for a booking either. Pretty unprofessional in my view and as others have said very rude and unwelcoming. can’t comment on food but luckily the other Indian restaurants in town are much more professional, friendly and do amazing food so won’t feel the need to ever go back to this place thank goodness! I can see all the less than ‘good’ reviews are met with a snarky comment or accusations from the owner so let’s see 😂 i enjoyed the one where he accused someone of steeling something in...
Read moreLast night, I finally met the famous "Basil Balti" at Khushboo in Brackley, and let me tell you, it was a culinary experience that revved my engines! This place is one of the 3 "B's" of curries in the UK: Bradford, Birmingham, and now, Brackley. If you're into Formula One and love a good curry, then Khushboo is your pit stop.
The menu is a delightful grid of racing-themed dishes. I started with the "Karun Chandhok Indian Pizza" – a starter that was as fast and flavorful as Karun himself. The "Crofty Naan Bread" was a commentary-worthy companion to my main course, and for the grand finale, I shared the "Checo's Fiesta" with friends – a feast fit for a podium finish.
Kids are welcome at Khushboo, but due to other reviews, I chose to leave mine in the car outside to avoid upsetting "Basil" (joke).
Joking aside, the food was fantastic, and "Basil Balti" himself was as pleasant as a smooth lap around Silverstone. Whether you're a curry connoisseur or a Formula One fanatic, Khushboo in Brackley is the place...
Read moreMy first visit a late take away Friday 10 June. Was no trouble at all. The manager made me feel welcome. The meal I chose a Tandori mixed grill with a nan included, and came with pop a doms and chutneys salad, was delicious.Freshly cooked and enough for my lunch next day! I'm not a big eater but, the meal would have fed two average eaters. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated clean neat and plenty of seating without being crammed.Bigger inside than appeared outside. The manager even chatted with me while I waited for my order. He very kindly took my meal with me to my car, I was on crutches. And said I could pop in any time for a chat, i'm elderly and widowed. Such a pleasant friendly person. I'll be dining in, next time...
