Lovely little place- it’s a quiet area which I passed on my bike one day and thought I had to try! Lovely little food and drink albeit the service - the person taking our order made a dig at our query if the hot chocolate came with cream and marshmallows saying we dont do ‘that’ Starbucks stuff here. No one asked if our food was okay even when we were the only ones left in and then the workers started having a conversation across us which was abit unsettling. Love this coffee shop. I'd been in a few times before to pick up coffee and cake, but at a rare loose end on a Sunday (my wife had taken our crazy six year old son on a playdate) I went to write and come up with some ideas for a blog. What a wonderful location, right in the heart of Southbank, to do so! The large windows give you a panoramic view of a real community getting on with their lives, the atmosphere is cosy and warm, so that purveying a winter street scene with a hot drink and slice of wonderful cake of choice, becomes a rather delightful break from the norm. This place has it all! Great coffee that had real flavour and perfect milk, beautifully put together wee shop and above all a warm, friendly and knowledgeable barista who I could have chatted to all day. What a little hidden gem that I'm glad I stumbled across and will be going out of my way to grab a coffee at again. Basically, if you're looking for a coffee just come here!
