Lower Chequer — Restaurant in England

Unfortunately at the moment it's piggy backing on the back of the Leopard. Staff need a bit more training. You need to pour off some cask beer at the start of your shift otherwise it gives people bad guts and makes people feel nauseous. Off beer is never a good thing, no matter how much you try and penny pinch when starting out. And purely based on this, I will not be going back. 11 quid for those tiny portions of dirty fries from a kitchen that's not set up yet is...

We visited the Lower Chequer for drinks on a Friday night and the first thing we noticed was the friendly atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the drinks were very reasonable compared to other places in Sandbach. We didn't eat there so couldn't comment on the food. They had some great live entertainment with a singer which was enjoyed by a lot. The toilets however were very unpleasant which would be my main negative about...

Couldn't wait for the pub to open. Worth the wait. Fantastic hospitality from the landlady and landlord.
