Decided to give the new Raffaele a try yesterday. Have to say, I was sceptical. Like I am with most new places. But I honestly needn't of been. The wheelchair entrance is via the rear door, next to the new extension. It's level entrance, with a wider door. Not ridiculous wide, but enough to fit majority of wheelchairs. There are a few tables to the left as you go in, which are high enough to simply wheel under. Then the disabled toilet is to the right as you go in. The toilet was wide enough for me to turn without any issues. With a few grab bars. 1 virticle bar either side of mirror above the sink. Then 1 horizontal to one side of the toilet. With a drop bar the the other. The drop bar didn't feel safe enough to put all your weight on, if needed (as no leg only attached to the wall), but good enough to help. All very modern, but looks amazing with the older building. The food was stunning! The menu stated that breads, pizza and pasta's could be made gluten free 🙌🏻 We shared a PIZZA GARLIC BREAD with cheese, with my mum and auntie having the CAPPUCCINO AI FUNGHI, chestnut mushroom cappuccino, parmesan shortbread (a mushroom soup dressed as a cappuccino). Then they had the RIGATONI CARBONARA, egg yolks, pancetta & pecorino, whilst I had a pepperoni pizza. The food I had was amazing! I'd definitely recommend either dishes. The others said the soup was delicious, but unfortunately the pasta's weren't exactly hot when they came out, so they weren't the best. We were all too stuffed for desert unfortunately, so can't rate the deserts. But apparently the coffee was also amazing! The service was mostly great. Quick to be seated, then drinks orders taken. Our starters arrived quite quickly. Mains took a little while, but not overly long. Plates were cleared, and silverware replaced between course nice and quick. So overall, definitely a place I'd recommend, and somewhere I will be...
Read moreA Stunning Upgrade! Elevated Italian Dining The move to the new location is an absolute success! This isn't just a restaurant; it’s an immersive dining experience. The new venue is breathtaking, successfully blending the timeless elegance of a Venetian bar (think Harry’s in Venice) with a modern, chic twist. The atmosphere, complete with the cozy indoor fireplace and beautiful indoor trees, is both sophisticated and incredibly welcoming. The food matches the upmarket setting perfectly. Everything we ordered was remarkably fresh and clearly prepared with genuine passion. The plating is exquisite—each dish has that decorative, Michelin-star look, proving the kitchen is operating at a top-tier level. We loved every bite: the Bruschetta was vibrant and perfectly seasoned; the Pollo Toscana was tender and flavourful; and the Tiramisù della Nonna was the perfect balance of traditional comfort and refined technique. A massive congratulations on the beautiful new space and the exceptional food quality. This is now officially a must-visit destination for high-end Italian cuisine in Sandbach! We can’t wait...
Read moreWe have been going to Raffaeles for many years, the food, service and entertainment have always been of the highest quality!
This is why when my partner and I got engaged, we knew straight away that we would pick Raffaeles to host our Engagement Party, and it did not disappoint!
Salvatore was accommodating from the outset, allowing us to help with picking the menu, the drinks that we’d have on offer, clearing out all of the tables for dance floor space and accommodating a singer/dj in the front room. The atmosphere that was created with all of this was an absolute night to remember.
Every single person at Raffaeles last night played their roles to absolute perfection, all of the staff were amazing. The food was out of this world, nearly every person at the party (of which there were 40) complimented the food massively, so a big thank you to the chefs!!
An overall amazing night, one to remember, and we hope to do further functions/parties there in the future. If you are ever wondering where to have an event, then...
