What a pleasant place to visit for breakfast! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. This is far from a greasy spoon. After having my fair share of boring old English breakfasts in the past, I decided to try something different and went for eggs benedict. Let me tell you, it was a game-changer! With two perfectly cooked eggs and a scrumptious sauce, it left me wanting more. They had to substitute the ham with bacon since they ran out, but who doesn't love bacon, right?

Hartlepool holds some hidden gems, and this place is definitely one of them. The decor was simply amazing, and the toilets were not only clean but also modern, complete with posh soap and other fancy amenities. My father and fiancee thoroughly enjoyed their meals and drinks as well. The pictures I took capture the essence of this place perfectly, so why not take a peek? Visited today for first time. Impressive layout, really lovely staff and delicious food. I had the sourdough toastie which came with homemade slaw and salad and it was just delightful - sourdough can be a bit dry when toasted but this was perfect - last time I had sourdough this good was in New York! I was that impressed that I've ordered a Coronation Afternoon Tea for 2 after spying a couple of ladies having an afternoon tea at a nearby table! The menu is extensive but not to the point of reducing on quality and dietary needs are taken into consideration. Another plus is that the owners use locally sourced produce therefore small businesses supporting each other. There are events planned and catering is also on offer. I’ve been to Lyla Belle’s a few times and have always really enjoyed it so we decided to hold my sister’s baby shower here and it was absolutely fantastic. It was only a small gathering so we had a corner of the cafe to ourselves and were able to put up a few banners and decorations to make it personal. We ordered the afternoon tea and the food was so good, the staff were so friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was great! We had a last minute dietary requirement request (completely my fault for not checking beforehand!) but the staff were nothing but helpful and quickly made us up a separate stand which we were so grateful for and meant we could all enjoy the day.
