Really shocked at this place went to funeral here on 7/3/2024, the staff were shocking talking about people over the lack of tea they supplied, 20 cups were catered for but more than expected turned up, the staff started to charge a £1 for a cup with nothing in but hot water ran out took 40 mins and multiple complaints before more hot water was supplied, my issue was I get not enough was paid for. Firstly to charge £1 for empty cup and secondly to talk about customer behind there back behind bar when people could clearly here was disgusting at a funeral at that, there was a lot of money spent on alcoholic drinks and soft drinks especially when on a typical Thursday the place is empty id never have expected the greed of a pub like this we were truly shocked and on such a sad day to make it even worse is unforgivable, lesson learnt won’t book this place or even come for food god only those what the family felt about this despicable, well done Suzanne for the brilliant welcome NOT as you can also see by my review I take this seriously and very very rare do I leave reviews like this it upset me to have to do this but people have the right to know the truth, also the pub was empty only guess there was ourselves and sorry 2 family’s having. Meal in other room so the wait shouldn’t have been this long at all and staff talking crap about guess I’d unacceptable, the family were happy as this was kept away from them they were grieving enough without this kinda stuff to deal with in the day there no excuse suzanna you should be able to trust and leave your team in your absence and trust they will look after the pub and customers as you...

Came here last week and will not be returning. Your older member of staff who was serving at the time was rude and had a disgraceful attitude. We came for a pint to which we sat outside. I ordered the first drinks which where brought to us by a lovely polite younger lady. My friend came in and ordered the second but unfortunately made her way to the bar the wrong way as she wasn't advised any different. There was nobody waiting to be served at the bar at this time however the older lady manning the bar was very rude to her and forced her to re walk around the booths in front of the bar, humiliating and be littleing her in order to be served, and wouldn't serve her until she had carried out this little un-necessary walk of shame, even though there was literally nobody there waiting and it was a genuine mistake of her never being there before! My friend ordered our drinks and then asked if we could see a menu to which we where asked if we had booked. She said no but we have a table outside where we have been sat for the past hour but where refused a menu to look at because we hadn't previously booked this table outside!! Which is fair enough but some of your staff need a refresher course in customer service and basic bloody manners! We didn't come into your establishment to be treat and spoken too...

Best place I've found for food.... this review has been edited because simply this place has gone so downhill. The staff are rude and under trained and the food was not nice at all.. I used to love this place but I won't be returning any time soon I'm afraid. It's a shame really.

Update.... returned 3 year later thought I would give it another go. We've all been locked down for over a year, have now just walked out, I had a starter, waiting a further 40 mins for my main to be told they had forgot to put the order through to the kitchen (which I don't belive as we wouldn't have had our starters) and it was going to be another 40 mins... bad service how the hell do they expect to survive when they can't even get the basics right? After the year we've all had especially the restraunt trade can't see...
