Maxwells — Restaurant in England

The food is always great from Maxwells, my favourite place to order from on deliveroo. They always give a little "surprise treat" with every order as well, which I think is a nice touch – shows they care about their customers.

Have had a couple of order mistakes in my time ordering from them, but it happens. My only nitpick is that I wish they'd have oat milk available for coffee; I don't know if it's available from in the café itself, but there's no option for it on deliveroo.

Edit: Thanks for your reply. Good to know I can get an oat milk coffee from you in the future! It's just that some places on deliveroo, when you click on a coffee option, it'll ask you what kind of milk you would like with it, so I assumed that places that don't have that on their menu don't have any alternatives. But at least I know now anyways,...

We were really looking for somewhere that did a nice English breakfast from reviews this looked like a good restaurant but it was a let down for what I was looking for. The bacon was what could only be described as American and for the size of them you only got 2 if them. They don't have the ability to fry anything which is fine but the other food all seemed to be nuked in a microwave. I think they could get better results investing in an air fryer to give a better cook on food. We were welcomed warmly but no table service and did not get asked about sauces. I did however appreciate the big wedge of bread and the beans and scrambled (all they do)...

My wife and i dropped into Maxwells for the first time today during a shopping trip to Southend. We just expected a basic cafe but were so pleasantly suprised by the whole experience. The initial service was great, a smiling welcome and easy order , we only ordered two sandwiches and coffees but it was quick and easy and well priced. We were taken aback by the swift and lovely service and the quality of the sandwiches, especially the lovely fresh bread. Overall it was a brilliant lunchtime experience,...
