I recently visited this particular McDonald's location and, like many other times, it served as a convenient option when other places were closed or too far away. The atmosphere, however, left much to be desired. Especially in the evenings, the restaurant seemed to attract a crowd of local youngsters who were creating a lot of noise and commotion. The carpark and its surroundings were no exception, as reckless driving seemed to be the norm.
Despite these drawbacks, I found that the quality of the food and the service were consistent with what I would expect from McDonald's. In comparison to another major franchise across the street, this McDonald's stood out as the better choice by a significant margin. Considering this, I would definitely consider returning to this location, although I might opt for the drive-through option next time to avoid the chaotic atmosphere inside.
Overall, if you're in need of a quick meal and there aren't many options available, this McDonald's can fulfill that need adequately. While the atmosphere may not be ideal due to the rowdy behavior of local youngsters and the chaotic carpark, the food and service live up to the standard set by the McDonald's brand. It's a decent choice if you're looking for a convenient meal, but I would recommend utilizing the drive-through to minimize the impact of the...
Read moreGrew up coming here and boy, this place has gone downhill over the years. The milkshakes taste of vegetable oil based fake chocolate in expired milk. If I fancy a thick-shake I will happily drive multiple towns to the KFC and get myself a shake from there (the penzance KFC is bad too).
The burgers are messy and horrible. I know you can’t expect everything to look like they do in the adverts but you can at least make it look half-decent. It looks like somebody forgot the order of how to layer it and slapped a bit of everything and the patty on there with sauce.
We have a family member who can’t have nuts, seeds or sweetcorn so we asked if they can have a kids bun on top instead of the sesame bun and they said a few months ago AND I QUOTE ‘It makes it look improper’ and the second time we asked this a few months later (today) they just said ‘no’. They already ruined the burger, why bother making it look ‘proper’
In summary here are my pros:
-cheap
And my cons:
-messy burgers -bad milkshakes -stone cold food -most popular menu items are ‘off-sale’ -Ice cream not been available for months -Please tell me before you CHANGE my order to something I am ALLERGIC to. The reason I said no tomato is because I am allergic -dirty tables -ice in the drink I asked for no ice...
Read moreWhilst visiting the Drive Thru, I was kept waiting at the order point for 5 minutes before I could place my order, bearing in mind both lanes were empty. I then had to reverse my vehicle and enter the opposite lane, at which point a cyclist was now in front of me. When I could finally place my order, I asked the staff member if the other order point was faulty, to which they replied, No it wasn't broken I was having an argument with a customer. This is really bad customer service, staff members should not be speaking about customers in this way, especially to other customers. On a separate note, I feel that McDonald's are discriminating against cyclists visiting the Drive Thru,. The gentleman on a bicycle was trying to purchase a coffee, but was refused because he was not in a vehicle; He then asked if he could collect a coffee from the restaurant entrance, he was still refused. I can't understand why he would be refused from purchasing items from the Drive Thru, he was wearing a face covering, so he posed no more risk than someone in a vehicle. McDonald's should make exceptions for customers who are not in vehicles, surely they have the means and resources to set up some kind of collection facilities in conjunction with...
