Update 2022 we used the drive through at the Dunstable branch. They were as busy as ever, but unfortunately the milkshakes were quite popular so we couldn't have any, apart from this the did was to our order and they have a screen so you can check it was correct before paying. Food was hot. Still a very well used and busy branch but handled with efficiency. Will sort to the branch staff members. Previously: I was able to go up to the counter straight away and order and pay for my meal. There were quite a few people still wearing masks and a few not wearing them. The staff after preparing the meal bought the meal to a little holding section which was screened off they were helpful. Upon leaving the queue was building up. The screen pad for issuing the meals were in constant use and the drive through was very busy. I have used the app on many occasions but find that as they don't prepare the meal until you're actually in the store it isn't that much quicker as you have to pay online first then they prepare the meal, this needs to be looking at to make the app much more efficient. I have also used the app for home delivery which is excellent but have found only recently there isn't a way to to the delivery driver like you can Via the Uber eats app which was there only way in my area for delivery. Please keep these vital services as I can't always get out for...
Read moreDisrespectful manager at the store, accused us of trying not to pay. We went through the drive through to get a McFlurry, got to the payment window, sitting there with Apple Pay open waiting to pay. The guy in the window tells us to go to the next window, my husband says confused, ânext window?â And waited a few more seconds before moving on. We got the second window, again, waiting with Apple Pay open. The lady says âtwo mcflurries?â, to which my husband says âyes, but we havenât paidâ. The guy at the first window runs round and says âThey havenât paid!â. So the manager walks over and we explain that we were told to go to the next windowâ, to which he replies âyeh right!â Implying we had lied. We tried to explain again and he then told impatiently that we could give him our phone to pay with or drive round. I never leave reviews, but being accused of trying not to pay (stealing) by the manager made me fuming. A manager should know better, how immature and disrespectful. McDonaldâs policy for complaints is to call the store manager, but clearly heâs not mature enough to handle...
Read moreI have been visiting McD at least once a week in my local town as well as on day trips for at least 15+ years however first time visit to this Dunstable branch. Ordered via app to a table. 10 mins later nothing arrived, went to enquire, they could not see my order, lady who was behind the counter said they don't have it. She asked whether I paid for it and what was on it, I advised few times, found the confirmation email, was showing it to her, she kept telling me, no, don't have it. She was looking at me like I was trying it on and was hoping that I would just go away. Then she called her supervisor so I repeated all of the above again. Again I was treated like a nuisance and demanding free food? 1/2 hr later, as I was not going away, they manage to the scramble the food together. There was no apology, the worst customer service out of all McD's I have ever visited (and I do visit a lot). The only positive was that the coffee was hot. They need to put their house in order and learn basic customer care skill. Will give this branch a wide...
