McDonald's — Restaurant in England

Went in the newly refurbished McDonald's yesterday I was pleasantly surprised by the changes. Whilst the basic layout remains the same what has changed is that the ordering and pick up has been divided into two separate stations which seemed to reduce the queue and waiting time which was often a problem with this branch before. They have also introduced a screen displaying the status and progression of your order which I found a major improvement. The click and collect service has also been introduced. I don't know if they have the free McDonald's WiFi yet but I've downloaded the app anyway. I think the changes made here should greatly improve their customer service. After this is supposed to be fast food isn't it ?. Well done McDonald's. Update January 2022. There's been a few changes during the coronavirus pandemic, and a notable increase in demand for delivery especially, they are fully open both inside and outside at the moment with the necessary covid measures in place, very busy again during peak periods lunchtime and teatime especially noticeable, but they have responded with extra staff so the time spent waiting hasn't...

Visited yesterday and a good 30 people waited half an hour for their food including us.

There was some kind of system error but the staff didn't pick up on it (despite the huge crowd waiting) or apologise. Our food had been sitting there for 25 minutes and so when they finally called our number it was stone cold and had to be redone.

During all of this, a member of staff ran out randomly to tell another person cleaning up to put on a body camera. When this lady came back out she was saying she can't wait to go home and looked utterly fed up.

The restaurant is not particularly clean either. The lady on the table behind us had to leave the restaurant to find clean toilets.

I know it's a fast food restaurant, but it's a shambles in there. It needs closing for a deep clean and staff definitely need...

Stopped in as we were hungry and didn't have time for a sit down restaurant before a show. We ordered at the screens (handy) and waited alongside all of the deliveroo drivers. We had to wait a little while as my partner ordered a Veggie burger which had to be cooked from scratch, but in comparison to a restaurant I suppose it's still fast food. The lady behind the counter also reassured us that the food was on it's way, and explained why it had taken a while (we must have looked hungry I suppose). We tried to sit on recently cleaned seats but the lady cleaning asked us to sit in an alternate place as she was trying to close off that corner. She asked politely and seemed a nice lady so we didn't mind. The food was standard maccies and kept us going for...
