I do enjoy playing pools at racks but on the last couple of occasions the customer service towards myself and friends has been hurrendous. Once I turned up and all pool tables were booked even though we could see some weren't being used. Fine. My mistake. Had to leave. Next time I've always made sure I've booked a table. Sometimes even though I've made the reservation over the phone, doesn't appear they've got it. I do remember having a reservation once and despite having a pool table for a certain time, saw another group of lads just setting their game up. I asked the staff what's going on. I was told they haven't finished their game yet. I replied but I've made a reservation for such a time. And the staff told me, well they haven't finished yet. Yesterday as we was finishing our game, the lights above the table were turned off and we was told our time is up. I said but I've been here previously and you've told me that when I've had a reservation, I'm just going to have to wait for them to finish. Proceeded to tell me the time is up and they've got someone else coming on. So we've been treat very unfair and some of the staff are incredibly rude aswell, whilst some staff are lovely, some other staff don't have a clue when it comes to being polite or having any customer service. In all honesty I like the place, the atmosphere is great but I'm a very honest man when it comes to it and I don't expect to be treat like that. I would like to hope I can be issued an apology and just forget about previous experiences in hoping it won't...

When I handed it over, the staff member told me there were no funds on it, but she’d check. Then, without any proper investigation, she suddenly claimed the card had expired. Only when I pointed out the obvious expiry period did she take another look and found the £50 on it.
Throughout this ordeal, there was zero discretion or care—this all unfolded in front of the restaurant, which was humiliating as I was treating family to this meal. I suggested complimentary drinks as a standard goodwill gesture for the hassle and embarrassment. The serve phoned the manager to request this, and he refused. He chose to drive down to the restaurant to talk to us in person which was baffling.
After 40 minutes of no food, we found out no one had even processed our order. When the manager arrived, he accused us of upsetting staff, claimed the card was fake—even though his own staff found the balance and verified it. He was rude, arrogant, and completely dismissive. He refused to honour the voucher, refused to serve us, and kicked us out.
We left embarrassed, angry, and without food. All because we tried to use a valid voucher they gave out for charity. Racks do not care about their customers and pretend to give to charity but pocket the money themselves. Absolutely...
