Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in England

Took granddaughter and her cousin for lunch after swimming on the mon during half term (1st day of school hol). They had hardly any food left. They had 3 things left on the menu. But only got told after everything was ordered and paid for and we were sat down waiting, so had to have refund for part of order as there was nothing to replace it. This cafe used to serve lovely food. My husband and I often came for breakfast on a Sat morning. But its gone down hill drastically so we've stopped coming. Now the food is very over cooked, hard, burnt and often practically cold, probably due to being left continually on open warming tins and it not being replaced with fresh after a certain length of time. Also the presentation was awful. It looked like it was thrown on the plate or everything just slopped on top of everything else. They often ignored requests for removing items or forgot to put extra items on that were paid for. Shame really as its a nice cafe that can and needs to be so...

Very disappointed with a recent experience here. I popped in around 2pm on Saturday afternoon and there were no sandwiches available. I asked about alternatives and was offered the option of a toastie, but there were no options that didn't include cheese. Before I left, I asked about the possibility of giving customer feedback and was told to go to the customer service desk. There was a long queue at the desk, which is combined with the desk at which lottery tickets can be purchased, and was understandably busy on a Saturday afternoon. I walked through the store in search of a staff member and eventually found one one who took down my contact details and promised that the cafe manager would call me that afternoon. More than a week later I still haven't received a call. I've been a regular here in the past, but can't honestly recommend or even rate...

My Wife and I visited on Saturday March 2nd at about midday and looked forward to a pleasant late breakfast. How very disappointing. We were initially greeted with "You will have to wait at least 25 minutes as there is a delay". However we thought it may be worth the wait. We spent over £15 for two breakfasts with toast and coffee. Breakfast arrived after about 15 minutes but looked like it had been cooked hours earlier. There was no clean cutlery in evidence, we had to request knives. The food was cold within a few minutes and was overcooked, dry and unpalatable. The coffee cups were all either dirty or cracked. Probably our worst food experience ever. The food was so poor that we both suffered digestion discomfort for the rest of the day. Would certainly not recommend.
