The Mint — Restaurant in England

What to eat on a cold Monday in January? I decided to have curry from the newly opened Mint on Wrawby street. I opted to have a takeaway and chose the chicken tikka bhuna with pilau rice and garlic naan from a large menu, I ordered on line and collection time was about 30 minutes (they don't have a delivery service atm) I arrived a little early and was greeted by the new owner who welcomed me and we talked until my order arrived, I was very impressed with the new layout and will have to have meal there soon. When I got home I plated up the food and was very pleased with what I had ordered, hot and tasty and l didn't need anything else once I had finished it. Second time to this restaurant first time was very average gave the benefit of doubt and returned , Service was fine . food was dire, ordered popadoms and chutneys ok ordered mains onion bhaji was nice but pathetic size portion so was the dhal nice but poor portion. now to the main act of the evening,Tandorii chicken (NOT) a over cooked 3 month old size chicken bright pink doused in food colouring, No spices or flavouring at all, Women in charge tried to make out that's how it comes in all restaurants until I told her how to make it. Unfortunately we had a bad experience here last night . The table was booked for 9pm . Which was booked a week ago . Was not available until 915 . Front of house was terrible. No eye contact with any of the staff . Such a contrast to the previous vist . We ordered food which arrived at out table 40 minutes after being seated .
