Murray's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in England

1 star is not low enough. The owner tried to overcharge me which from reading the reviews I can see is a common occurrence. I ordered a sandwich which was clearly marked as £3.50 on the board. He presented me the card machine which had £4.70 on it! I stated that it says on the board £3.50 so he then turns around to read the board himself to confirm this, apologizes, and goes to amend the price on the card machine. He then presents the card machine again, which now shows £4.20! I again stated that it says £3.50 on the board, he tries telling me that he told me initially that the baguette makes it more expensive, which he definitively didn't, and if he did then he definitely made sure to very quietly say it under his breath! He then has the audacity to say 'I don't know why you're arguing with over prices that are pre-historic to be honest!'. At this point I was lost for words, he is essentially saying that I shouldn't be questioning the prices because the prices on the board are old. How on earth was I supposed to know they were old prices? and more importantly, if they are old prices, why are they still on the board?! It makes me uncomfortable to know that there is a business in our community that is trying to...

Bought 2 white baguettes one with egg mayo and the other with egg mayo and cheese. I asked for a little more cheese than the pinch he put on, he charged me for 3 portions.
