I recently visited Nando's Luton on a Saturday evening, and I must say, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.
Upon arrival, despite the restaurant being almost empty, I waited by the door for 10 minutes without any acknowledgment from the staff. It was clear that the manager couldn't care less about our presence.
After finally taking a seat in one of the empty booths and attempting to order via the app, I checked the number on the table, which was free, as required by the app. However, I was abruptly approached by the manager, who informed me that the table was reserved. This would have been understandable if the restaurant had been busy, but with only a handful of customers present, it was absurd.
To add insult to injury, the manager proceeded to ask me if I had ever been to Nando's, as if I were completely unfamiliar with the concept. This condescending attitude was uncalled for and only served to exacerbate my frustration.
Despite the lack of customers, the service was incredibly slow. The food took an unreasonable amount of time to arrive, and when it did, my order was completely wrong. I had requested lemon herb, but what I received was excessively spicy.
To top it all off, after finishing our meal, we were left waiting for someone to clear our plates. It wasn't until I had to ask for assistance that they finally attended to us, adding even more unnecessary delay to an already disappointing experience.
Even the dessert took an agonizing 20 minutes to arrive, prolonging our ordeal further.
In conclusion, my visit to Nando's Luton was nothing short of a disaster. The combination of poor service, slow delivery of food, and mistakes in the order made it an evening to forget. I certainly won't be returning anytime soon, and I would caution others against subjecting themselves to such...
Read moreI had an awful experience at this Nando’s. While the food was fine, the service was notably poor. Upon arrival, I stood by the door for over five minutes without anyone acknowledging me or arranging a table. Eventually, someone took my name on the list, but it took another 15 minutes before I was finally seated.
To make matters worse, I had to place my order online, but the system wasn’t working. After two failed attempts, I went to the counter to order in person. The first time, it was fine I made my main order. And I was attracted by the poster so I went to the counter again for adding that attractive starter. Unfortunately, I ended up being the last in the queue this time only 3 person in total. When it was finally my turn, the staff member walked away to assist another customer with a takeaway issue. The person ahead of me also took an unusually long time due to multiple staff errors. In total, I waited more than 15 minutes just to place my small order. As a result, all my first order had become cold and hard when I back to the table. You can find the evidence in the receipts placing time.
This experience highlights poor management and inadequate staff training. As a loyal fan of Nando’s, I was extremely disappointed. I’ll definitely think twice before visiting the Luton...
Read moreWow, where to begin? When I arrived, the person who showed me to my table was so miserable.
I decided as always to use the app to place my order.
The halloumi cheese came almost straight away. Then about 10 minutes later, a member staff came over with some broccoli which I hadn’t ordered. After about half an hour, a member staff came over to me and asked if I had ordered any anything and if I received my food.
I told him that I had the cheese and pointed to my empty plate, but I hadn’t received my chicken. He said, are you sure you’ve ordered anything? I had to show him my order on the phone as he didn’t believe me, although I had already showed him my order when he brought me the broccoli. He wanted my phone to take it to the grill. I said, I would go with him.
After a further 10 minutes, I managed to get my food.
I wouldn’t have minded so much if the restaurant was busy, but it was about 1 o’clock in the afternoon and there were three tables including myself and the other tables had already been served.
The food was cooked nicely, which is why this restaurant got two stars.
I’ve been going to Nando’s for years and today was the...
