We've been here a lot since it opened. Mostly to support them because they have a lot of vegan options. There are better places around, but we like to spread our custom. The last two times the service has gone downhill. The time-before-last a coffee didn't arrive, the owner (bloke) insisted it had. We'd already paid for it and waited ten minutes or so. He wouldn't have it. Said he remembered it going out. We shrugged it off. Ten minutes later he returned, he'd changed his mind, he came over and said that he hadn't charged us for it, he'd been through the receipts, you could tell he hadn't, it was all very defensive, like he'd made a mistake but just couldn't admit it. We were embarrassed, to be honest, he made such a fuss made over nothing really.... Some weeks later we decided to give it another try. This last time we sat in the lean-to, the lovely waitress put the heater on for us. A few minutes later the owner walked in and turned it off, without even acknowledging our presence. He came back a while later and my wife said we're a bit cold. He said the heater was not going on, the heat would be wasted, that people have even sat outside today, people have been leaving the door open, all the heat escapes, money out of the door, on and on... He told us to move to another seat if we didn't like it. And then walked off... Such a strange attitude. As we left he was having an argument with another set of customers at the til. At least it's not just us... So that's our last visit, there are plenty of other options locally, with owners who enjoy interacting with...

Nice looking front with the exception of the entrance door.....could do with being changed to something that looks a bit less industrial.
The chaps running the place are lovely and couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Has a nice regulars vibe with lots of smiles and chit chat going on .
The tables were a bit untidy with crumbs from previous people but they may of had a busy morning, nothing major.
I went for eggs benedict and it was spot on . Eggs cooked to perfection, beautiful thick ham couldn't fault it. The only thing was the side salad was a bit limp.
My colleague went for a triple bacon sandwich which he said was very nice indeed and looked like very nice bacon from where i was sitting.
Coffee is delicious and so smooth .
The counter and seating is cleverly designed and well thought out .

Letās start with the positive. The bread was delicious. The iced latte was not too bad. The service was pretty friendly.
We both got the walnut, feta and fig salad. This is where I run out of positive things to say. I ate the toppings on the salad because I was hungry and they wereā¦ok. Except the fig. Not sure what they did to it. Maybe it was torched or cooked but it tasted frozen and thawed. The salad dressing was not good and I couldnāt eat more than one bite of the greens.
I could easily throw a salad like that together at home.
Long story short, I wouldnāt suggest getting anything natural at the natural bite. If you want something natural and tasty go to Squeeze or Barlow and Fields. Both are close...
