Read morejust came back from short stay at Lostwithiel, in Cornwall. I came across this place and i had read the reviews before my visit. I cannot understand those who gave a bad review....On our last day we went here and ordered a traditional pasty, a cheese pasty, a sausage roll scones and rock cakes for our 6 hour journey home!. We didn't eat them until the evening when we arrived. What a delight!
I can honestly say these are the best pasties i have ever tried and the shop and staff were great!! There were 2 ladies making fresh pasties while i ordered. The man who served us was really helpful too. The flaky pastry was amazing. The scones too were delicious. The rock cakes were massive and delicious.. I tried other scones and they can be dry and tasteless, but these were perfect, even the next day..
I highly recommend this lovely little bakery Nelly's, while in Cornwall. Its definitely worth a visit. I cant wait to go here...
