Absolutely gorgeous place, people and food. We had the Deli Brunch, 10.45£ and it was absolutely scrumptious. Andrew, the owner, took the order from us and when we asked if they had any savoury, spicy options, he offered to liven up the brunch with harbenero chillies. He gladly substituted the tomatoes with Potato rosti, which was divine and the fried eggs to scrambled eggs... Now what we got served was Harbenero flavoured delightful fluffy and creamy scrambled eggs. The most delicious, savoury, perfectly cooked handmade sausage patties. The most crispy, tasty bacon this side of the Atlantic. Yumm Potato rostis Perfectly sautéed Mushrooms Baked beans Fresh smashed avacados, none of the tired blackish avacados you see elsewhere here. Large, delicious ciabatta with butter. And out of his own initiative, mayo mixed with harbenero which we had with the rosti and boy it was amazing. A perfectly made latte, part of the breakfast.
The absolute attention to detail and the way the food was lovingly customized and served has warmed both our hearts and tummies. A brilliant pre birthday brunch I would say. I really craved a delicious breakfast and I was blessed with this one ...Thanks Andrew! Fans for life. 😍
PS - Did I mention how gorgeous the place itself is?!...
Read moreWill start by saying we paid the same price for our breakfast as we pay at The Ivy, and to charge the same as a fine dining restaurant you are going to need to up your food quality and customer service. Had eggs royale and eggs bennedict- they don’t give you the normal portion of 2, you have to pay extra so the dishes were over £10 each. The lady at the till is very rude and blunt, same as the last time we visited (short, dark hair). We sat down at a dirty table as none of them were clean, I asked twice for it to be cleaned down and it was finally cleaned about 15 minutes in. The boy that delivered our drinks asked if we were waiting for anything else and we just mentioned we had food on the way, he said ok and took our number. This seemed odd but we just presumed that was the practice there. Some while later the poor woman delivering the food was doing laps around the cafe as she was presumably looking for our number! Both dishes were extremely average, the hollandaise sauce was nice but the muffins were extremely tough and inedible, would honestly need a steak knife to cut through, the egg was broken into pieces and no runny yolk. All in all wouldn’t recommend, there is much nicer food for the quality out there and much better customer...
Read moreIt was a chance discovery to find this food place in the shopping centre.
As a gluten free person dietary requirement person, I was not hopeful. But I learned they make gluten free hot dogs. I ordered the Reuben Hot Dog. When it was prepared the hot dog was wrapped in a lightly toasted gluten free slice of bread. It may not have looked quite the same as if it was in a hot dog bun, but it tasted delicious all the same. The pickle and pastrami were nice ingredients with the hotdog and mustard. The price was quite fair, and the young lady who took my take away order was extremely patient and helpful when I was enquiring about the ingredients. Even though it was close to closing time, everyone was still polite and happy to prepare my food. I enjoyed the hotdog immensely (even though it is such a simple meal). I would definitely return again in the future. I also would definitely recommend this nice cosy, calm, food place to anyone local...
