Extremely Disappointed with Lack of Flexibility at OPUZ Aylesbury restaurant .
I have been a regular customer at OPUZ Aylesbury for the past 1 years, visiting every Saturday with my husband and 4-year-old son. However, my recent experience at the restaurant has left me utterly disappointed and compelled to share my dissatisfaction.
Yesterday, we excitedly arrived at the restaurant for our usual dinner outing, only to discover that my son's all-time favorite pasta dish was not included on the dinner menu. Hoping for some flexibility, we kindly approached the staff and inquired if it would be possible to have the pasta made for our son. Regrettably, the chef outright refused our request, leaving us with no choice but to leave the restaurant.
As a regular customer who has supported this establishment for years, I was taken aback by the lack of accommodation and understanding displayed by the chef. It is disheartening to feel unwelcome and disregarded, especially when we have consistently chosen OPUZ as our go-to dining spot.
The refusal to accommodate a simple request for a dish that has been previously available showcases a lack of customer-centric approach. It is essential for any restaurant, particularly one with loyal patrons, to be flexible and considerate of their customers' needs, especially when it concerns young children.
I understand that menus may change from time to time, but a refusal to make an item that was once available sends a clear message that customer satisfaction is not a priority at OPUZ . In turn, it has left a sour taste in my mouth and has made me question whether I should continue supporting this establishment in the future.
I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for OPUZ urging them to reevaluate their approach towards customer service and flexibility. It is crucial for any restaurant to prioritize the satisfaction of their patrons, especially those who have been loyal supporters for an extended period.
Sadly, my recent experience has left me with no choice but to explore other dining options that prioritize customer satisfaction and are willing to accommodate...
Read moreI went here yesterday with my daughters and must I say I wouldn't complain usually about food being overpriced because at the end of the day, it's supposed to be about what you get you pay for however, this just wasn't the case at all. I'm not sure what it is with the staffs attitude but it very clear that there is a superiority complex here and I cannot comprehend why to your own customers???? The lady staff are very fussy and strict when it comes to taking orders. There were two young girls who kept on hovering over us and circling us, both had dark hair who were eyeing us up for no reason. When we were taking our orders, they couldn't explain the steak sauces etc properly which is fine. I'm not going to make a big fuss of that even though a restaurant should understand their own menu but they were despicable in terms of their actions towards us. One of the young girls actually scolded me and my daughter's for apparently taking too long to order but I made it very clear of my daughter's personal illness and allergies which is why I had to be careful anyways. It was so embarrassing and I felt so intimidated even as a man as I don't want to be rude to woman especially but we were placed in a very awkward position in the beginning of the restaurant which was right in the middle of everybody so I didn't want to be nasty by walking out. It was as if they were looking down at us with their tone and even when the young girls finally served us our food, there was the constant belittling and rolling eyes asking us where we're from and receiving a very racist reaction because we're Arabs???? It was awful. We are not all bad people. Why are your people like this? Why bring such a political issue that has nothing to do with serving food in a restaurant? We are human beings just like yourselves. I want an apology to my daughter's only not me but my girls as we felt like we were left with no option. Worst...
Read more5 star looks but very disappointed. Had high expectations based on looks. Food is expensive for what you get. Partner ordered a fish dish and was poor. Mixed Shish grill not too bad but for £20 only comes with salad and you have to order sides separately at around £5 per side. Couple of times the waitress leant past me to fill my glass with water whilst I was eating which is very bad rather than ask me to present my glass. Ordered a whisky which menu showed was £19 for 50ml. Waitress asked if I wanted a single or double and I asked for a single assuming 50ml was a single measure as the menu advertised. When the drink came it was only a 25ml measure at £17. Trick questioning to save the restaurant money! I went with my partner and when we got there the restaurant was empty. We were sat in a booth which I thought was nice. Soon after a couple of families arrived and they sat them in front of us and behind us sandwiching us in the middle when the whole restaurant was empty. A top restaurant would recognise to keep couples away from loud families. Would we go back - No. Get a train into London and get a proper Turkish. It would probably work out the same cost! Also menu shows Cognacs as Brandies. I’m into my Cognacs and this was particularly disappointing as it’s like calling champagne sparkling white wine. Tables were not cleaned regularly even though not busy and plates were often left for 15 minutes or more which meant we were sat near dirty plates. All these little things added up to disappoint. Effectively - the image does not reflect service or...
