Ordered via Uber multiple times from Cafe Nostalgia and never had any issues. Our order today however of 3 paninis turned up and the food was inedible. They had all been packaged with what must be loads of salad dressing. This had soaked through into the bread of the paninis making them all soggy and mushy. I called the restaurant to make them aware and got shouted down the phone by the rudest man stating “I made it myself and it was all perfect”. This could’ve easily been put right for a returning customer, just a shame that this immature man wouldn’t allow his pride to be dented at the cost of providing a paying customer with edible food. Needs to work on packaging and customer service. Disappointed and a shame as the food had so much potential to be nice and tasty as per our previous orders.
EDIT: At no point was a refund offered. I would of happily brought the food into the shop for a full refund however this was never offered. You simply shouted to speak to Uber as it was “not your problem”. I never said the food wasn’t cooked well, but the way it was packaged and delivered made it inedible. Not sure why you feel the need to lie about how the phone conversation went. The food is now in the bin,...
Read moreThis lovely cafe sits on the spot previously owned by Jenny's cafe in west street, dunstable facing the traffic lights,. Since then Jenny's has undergone a wonderful transformation, and is now known as Nostalgia Cafe. The uplift is a welcome change. Gone is the dark cafe and there is now a welcome fresh bright interior. Very modern seating with rounded chequered square tables in a green and black combo or a purple and black combo. The seats hug the tables perfectly giving the illusion of more space. The kitchen which used to be at the right hand side coming into the cafe has now been moved towards the back. A perfect position, the staff can see the customers and gives more floor space for the customers to move around. Staff are friendly, food is excellent and there is a wide variety to choose from. There is a good choice of drinks and a nice variety of different coffees and teas. There are customers toilets in the back. There is a nice big tv on the wall which played a variety of music videos and as always there are some traditional up to date newspapers to read. I for one am looking forward to...
Read moreWent into this lovely cafe on Saturday 29th June 2019 at about 8am for a spot of breakfast and what can I say about this cafe except great food, great atmosphere and music which is just at the right level. The restaurant looked so clean, warm and welcoming, I think it's a shame I cant give a higher rating than a 5, however 5* is what this cafe is all round, 5* food, 5* prices, 5* staff and 5* food rating. If I go for breakfast again in Dunstable this will be the only place I go to. I am a solo traveller but they really do cater for everyone including children, vegetarians and disabled. Inside this cafe there is plenty of room and it would appear that this type of cafe would fill up very fast. Nostalgia Cafe you are one of Dunstables treasures and I hope you continue to trade...
