Food was tasty.Looked very bright & appealing.Fresh & hot & served efficient.Hamhock terrine for starters was delicious.Lovely & light.Chilli tuna salmon with asparagus was lush.Steak & ale pie was just a wee bit salty but enjoyed the chips, peas & gravy.Prices were reasonable & a lovely treat on a few days visit.Would recommend.

First time visiting, we were a large party 9+, and the staff were very accommodating. The food was excellent and the price was agreeable. I was pleased that they had a few non alcoholic options, that weren't just pepsi etc. They had non alcoholic beer and gin. Would recommend the pub.

Called in on our way home on a Sunday afternoon. Steak pie and chips were delicious. My wife had the Sunday roast with all the trimmings, she really enjoyed it . We were asked a couple of times if everything was ok, and felt really looked after . Highly recommend.

After a bad experience with another local pub, we tried here and were really impressed. Such a difference - a friendly welcome, helpful attentive staff, and a good selection of food and drinks. We had the lamb shank and the duck, both nicely done with tasty accompaniments. Even the kids meals were excellent - the kids chicken goujons would have made me happy if I'd had that.

Not the cheapest of pub meals, but did not begrudge paying for it.

So many chain pubs knock out overdone microwaved meats and boil in the bag veg and charge a fortune. The Old White Bear served good quality food and...

A. Birthday dinner for my wife. Friendly and active service and a variety's of .menus to choose from. We are from the special.menu great starters and well cooked and presented mains. Well done you won us over with the excellent dish of fresh vegetables - well done. So many restaurants give you a piece of meat some chips and salad and call that a main course The soup and the salmon my wife had was really superb and my prawn cocktails and beef bourgernoin really delicious. My wife was full up.so I enjoyed the chocolate surprise...yummy. Well done a lovely meal and good value . Will be...

It was our first time at the Old white bear today. We thought we would give it a try and it certainly didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly and tended to our needs and the food was bob on. The garlic mushrooms are to die for and are the nicest we've ever had. But the steak pie was just amazing. Big chunks of steak, beautiful pastry, huge chunk of pie, great chips and proper mushy peas with gravy. Superb. We will definitely return and we will also recommend to...
