Has to be one of the best local pubs for miles around. The selection of traditional and international beers is second to none, and there is always a warm welcome from the landlord David & landlady Ruth.

For the 'summer' months that we sometimes get, there is an outside seating area and beer garden.

In the colder winter months you can expect a roaring fire to be lit and is this is a most welcome respite from the weather we have.

Looks tiny from the front door but a TARDIS of a place. Good size bar room and a big garden with a covered area to protect from the elements. Good range of drinks inc. 6 ales from big and small producers (no Theakstons/Black Sheep when I was there but I'm guessing the reason being you can get that pretty much everywhere else locally) also a range of lagers, cider and wine. Much more than first meets the eye, definitely...

Passed this pub soooo many times on our stay at Riverdale fab lodges after visiting sainsburys! Today made effort to visit! Ohhh my word just nothing like I imagined!! Hubby itching to go! Myself was er....! Absolutely fab immaculate pub ! Garden was serene! Locals made massive effort to speak to tourists and welcome us! Staff could not have welcomed us enough even with whinging dog lol thankyou! Our new fav bar! Well...
