Edited 23rd July 2022:

This was a 5 star review with great feedback, unfortunately I've had to change this.

Usually had great experiences with this restaurant, but it seems to have gone severely down hill.

Had take away delivered a couple of months ago, order was wrong and was told by a female manager that we would be able to have 1 main course on the house next visit. Fair enough I thought... Mistakes happen.

We've been twice more now and had a 3rd takeaway. Every time The Manager is not available, nothing has been written in a book about the compensated meal...

Been there tonight again, this time the manager was also not available. All waitressing staff seemed to be very young and not have a clue what was happening! The drinks menu was not detailed enough, I asked for a plain sider, got given a bottle of fruity cider. Had to ask for the bill to come twice, to be paid twice...

The service over the past few months with the waitressing staff has gone progressively and severely down hill.

Don't get me wrong, the food is absolutely top notch... But the waiting staff unfortunately need some major attention!!! Please train your staff properly.

After all this... I'm still waiting for my...

I want to warn everyone about the manager of this establishment, Jenny, due to an extremely unpleasant experience.

I recently underwent cancer treatment, which has left me with a stoma and bladder function issues. After our meal, I went to use the disabled toilet, inserting my disability key into the door, when I was suddenly pulled back. The manager, Jenny, physically stopped me, looked me up and down, and demanded, “What’s wrong with you then?” I explained my condition, but she responded dismissively, saying that “anyone can buy those keys off Amazon,” in an aggressive and rude manner.

I was visibly upset, yet she showed no empathy or care. As a 29-year-old woman who wears a wig, I may not “look” disabled, but this is exactly why no one should judge a book by its cover.

Following this incident, we emailed the business, and they assured us that staff would undergo disability awareness training. They also offered me a £100 voucher, which I accepted—despite never wanting to encounter this woman again. However, weeks have passed, and they are now ignoring my emails.

Given their lack of response, I felt it necessary to share this experience. If you have a disability, I strongly advise...

Half a plate of uneaten food on the reception desk, guess it was someone's dinner, unfinished that greeted us. Place was cold, my friend wished he had bought a jacket.

Starters were OK, to be honest, but the mains were terrible. Mains, cripsy chilli beef was hard and unpalatable. Rice was nice, that was about it for the banquet meal. The other dishes did not wow me.

The dessert I was appalled. Fruit salad, supposedly. Finely chipped up red and green apple, small scoop of ice cream, and a bit of squirty cream and I guess strawberry sauce to make it look edible. See the pictures. I like ice cream, the rest was not nice.

Appalling service, took 10 to 15 mins for my drink to arrive, twice.

My friend had to go and have a chat with the staff as they were giggling, talking rubbish and making more noise than the 6 clients in total they had.

Disappointing. I like eating out but this is not worth going to unless you want to waste your money and suffer...

The place is very beautiful : an 18th century tiny house. The restaurant is in top of a pub which is like sneaking to two different worlds. The food is very tasty and very well presented I think there's a bit of everything you expect in a Thai menu, but I always prefer the prawns to start and chicken green curry which is exceptional, sweet just the right amount of salty, spicy and creamy... And it's cook rather fast but doesn't look heated up, rather very fresh. The price is fair, expect about 25£ per person and there's good variety of Thai cocktails and mainstream drinks from the pub. The neighbourhood is very pretty as well as not a local to Wokingham
