⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Culinary Gem – Sultan Restaurant

From the moment you step into Sultan Restaurant, you’re greeted with warmth, attentiveness, and a genuine passion for hospitality. The staff are not only welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring that each guest feels both valued and guided towards the best dining experience.

Now, the food—absolutely outstanding! Every dish is crafted with precision, bursting with authentic flavors and the perfect balance of spices. The vibrant spread truly showcases the depth of Indian cuisine: • The vegetable curry is hearty and comforting, brimming with fresh vegetables and aromatic spices that linger beautifully on the palate. • The saag (spinach curry) is rich, earthy, and soul-satisfying, with a creamy texture that pairs wonderfully with naan or rice. • The tandoori chicken is grilled to perfection—tender, juicy, and infused with smoky flavors that highlight the artistry of traditional cooking methods. • Even the side salad is refreshing, crisp, and beautifully presented with vibrant onions, carrots, chilies, and lemon—a perfect palate cleanser between the bold curries.

Presentation is top-notch, portions are generous, and the overall dining atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort.

Sultan Restaurant is not just a place to eat—it’s an experience of flavors, culture, and heartfelt service. Whether you’re a lover of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this is a spot that guarantees you’ll come back for more.

The quality of food was dreadful, the only decent bit was a mixed chicken tikka. As for the vegetable korma, it was bland sauce and consisted of chopped frozen vegetables, not whole pieces, but the owner tried to convince me they weren’t, I was appalled at this , treating my wife and myself as ignorant in the knowledge of food, anyone could see it was just packaged chopped veg. As for the King prawn keralan curry, the prawns were large but totally bland and had no seafood flavour whatsoever, once again the owner tried telling me what the differences were, this was unashamedly rude and impertinent. After complaining we were give a £10. Discount, so the final bill was still ridiculously expensive for such poor food quality when we only had bottled water no alcohol We look so forward to going here, but dissatisfaction is an understatement, and recommend anyone with a good sense of taste buds stay away, and find somewhere else. Basically...

I had the tandoori mixed grill, garlic naan with a bottle of cobra for ÂŁ21 and it was not good. The chicken drumstick and other piece of chicken was rather old and tough. It actually tasted and had the texture like the sort of chicken you might get in a party buffet food. It certainly wasn't cooked fresh or in a tandoori. The chicken tikka and lamb chunks were just ok but better than the chicken pieces. The butterfly prawn's guts hadn't been cleaned. The naan was a normal naan with a few pieces of garlic thrown on it so there was no real garlic infused taste going on which is a shame because it might have masked the rest of the meal. I wasn't keen on the mint sauce. The salad was ok and the beer was cold! I don't usually leave reviews for food but felt I had to in this instance due to the quality of the food where the mixed grill was ÂŁ13.50 and has caused stomach cramps had me on the toilet since 4:00 this morning!!! I won't be...

I visited the Sultan Balti for the first time for a little while as in the past it was always so good. Too my delight this restaurant as gone up a least a level. The owners have done a great renovation with a full redecoration. The exposed wooden beams of the restaurant look great and it makes for a high quality setting. The food menu has also changed with innovative and very tasty quality ingredients. The starters are all excellent. It is great that many items are sold per piece so you can make up your own mixed starter to enable the tasting of many of the dishes. Particularly good we’re the Tandoori King Prawns, Patiala Lamb Chops and Sultani Chicken Tikka. The main courses were equally tasty we particularly enjoyed the Chicken Chettinand and the Lamb Rogan Josh. You should not miss this restaurant the quality of the restaurant and food offering in my opinion is second to none in Wokingham.

I recently dined at the Sultan Curry Restaurant in Wokingham, with some friends from my Sports Club and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The menu offers a very good variety of dishes, and every single one we tried was bursting with flavour. I had the chicken tikka masala which was rich and aromatic. The naan bread was fresh, soft, and the ideal accompaniment to our meal. What really stood out was the quality of ingredients and the attention to detail in each dish. The service was top-notch, and we never felt rushed. If you’re in Wokingham and craving authentic, flavourful Indian food, then the Sultan Curry Restaurant is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning for another fantastic meal. Highly recommended.
