Disappointed with the Food. Giving 3 Stars not 2 as there is positives and negatives and definitely potential. Maybe it's a one off.
The Kheema curry was very bland. The Chicken Machoosi was also very bland. Non of the curries had any taste and felt like it was drowned in water. The Chicken Biriyani is by far the worst I've had in Leicester as there are 2 or 3 places I've had who make amazing Chicken Biriyani, made in Foil just like it should be, this Biriyani was tastless, soggy and made with chicken tikka then again maybe cooked in the biriyani by which time the chicken is solid and then packed in a plastic container.
The other Biriyanis I've tried are in a different league to this Biriyani.
Nans were okay but seemed small. The Seekh Kebab was okay but it had chewy bits in them which isn't a great experience when eating your meal but the chicken tikka to be fair was the only thing I thought that's worth mentioning as it was decent.
I'm getting tired of high priced restaurants providing sub standard food but it won't affect me as I avoid them after a bad experience. Quality of the Chicken at this place cannot be faulted to be fair, as it seems like they have great produce. However, the masala let's it down when cooked and the fact that it all seems watery doesn't help. The Chicken Biriyani as mentioned before was disappointing as I love a Good...
Read moreThis was my second time in Leicester, almost after 10+ years. My friend had seen really good reviews about this place so we decided to make a visit to see if it would live up to the expectations and it certainly did. We had ordered a mixture of veg and non veg dishes for starters and mains. The quality of the food was really good with authentic flavours. The jeera chicken we ordered was not the best but good enough, this was the only dish I think which could be improved because there was a lot of water when generally jeera chicken is on the drier side or perhaps this how paddys make it?
The service is fantastic, the staff were very prompt with taking orders and the delivery of food was fast as well, we didn't have to wait ages for it to arrive.
The atmosphere was very chiiled, I really liked the bollywood theme of the restaurant with so many photos of golden bolly celebs and old skool music being played in the background, it was certainly a nice touch to top off the experience.
Please note you have to book this place in advance as it's generally fully booked, we saw all the tables had name lables of those who have booked it.
Overall a very good experience and we all certainly enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. I would highly recommend you visit here to experience the great...
Read moreSo after years about hearing about this place managed to go on a Friday evening whilst in Leicester. It was busy and I didn't book so had to wait for a table but eventually got one. Sat down and looked at the menu which had a good variety of food but as I'm already partial to grills and wings I went for the grill. Also ordered lamb chops, salt & pepper prawns and a few others. Being a Friday it was busy and that delayed the service a little but that's expected when you see how busy this place was. I imagine that at a different time the service will be different.
The food itself was on point. The Salt & Pepper Prawns were amazing and will definitely be having it again without a second thought. The grill was really nice, though I think the bed of onions could've been caramelised more. The lamb chops had a nice flavour and weren't overdone, kept it's flavour and didn't rubber out.
Will I be returning, without a doubt a great place in Leicester. Just be mindful it's street parking there but there are...
