The Coronation — Restaurant in England

The Coronation looks fantastic after the refurb and I’m really impressed with the upgrade. There are loads of screens everywhere, including some huge ones, so it’s perfect for watching sports. There’s also a separate area with a pool table and another big screen which adds to the atmosphere.

The staff are always super friendly and accommodating, which makes you feel welcome straight away. The owner is warm and welcoming too, which really makes a difference. The new food menu is a big highlight as everything is flavoursome, fresh, and clearly cooked with talent. Great selection of beers on draught plus plenty of snacks as well. The women’s toilets are always clean, which is another plus.

Whether you’re here for the sport or just want somewhere relaxed to chill, this is a brilliant spot in Leicester....

Went as group of three on a Friday evening. We had to ask twice before the order was taken then it was completely messed up. A poppadoms and pickles starter was ordered though it never arrived but was nevertheless on the bill. The mixed grill that was ordered as a main dish suitable for two actually came as a "starter sized" meal barely enough for one, arriving just after the curry, rice and naans were served and set upon. Therefore two of us had to wait a further 15 mins for the correct mixed grill to arrive by which time the third had finished eating and the remaining rice and naans were cold. No discount or rectification...

We had our first take away from the Coronation Lounge tonight. We had a Royal Tandoori Mixed Grill and a Chicken Tandoori and Cheese Pizza Naan. The food was just absolutely sublime.
