Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in England

Ordered delivery on a Sunday night. The tracker says my order has been delivered and I’m sat there hungry and pizzaless. An hour after order, 30 minutes after it says it’s been delivered I phone up to be met with a member of staff completely dismissive. Asks if I ordered delivery and when I confirm he says it’s on the way, didn’t ask for my order number or address. When I say it’s not here he repeats that it’s on the way and hangs up the phone on me. 20 minutes later, my order still hasn’t turned up. I phone again to be met with another member of staff who is once again completely dismissive though this one had the foresight to ask for my order number and address. I was initially told the order wasn’t out for delivery yet and when I tell him that the order was placed over an hour ago and I’ve already phoned once to be told it was out for delivery, the tune changed to tell me it’s out for delivery and when I say that I was told that 20 minutes ago, he proceeds to complain that his shift is ending and that it’s on the way there’s nothing he can do (somehow his shift was ending at 9:07pm, very bizarre working hours) I ask to be passed onto someone who wasn’t at the end of their shift so I could get confirmation out of them and he refused. Kept trying to tell me that the order is out for delivery and when I tell him I live 6 minutes from Papa Johns, how can it be taking an hour and a half to be delivered at 9pm on a Sunday night?! he asks for my order number again and delivery address, I give it to him again. This is where I believe they realised they hadn’t actually sent the order because there was a good minute of silence. He eventually repeats again that his shift is ending and it’s on its way and then hangs up the phone on me while I am in the middle of asking another question. My order eventually turned up just after 9:30pm (an hour and 45 minutes post order) but without the drink that was supposed to come with the order. Absolutely shocking customer service and one I do not wish to experience again. Avoid this if you can, I personally love Papa Johns pizza and their food but this has seriously put me off. Placed an order at 19.30 last night, it said it had been delivered and then 20 mins later half of our order turns up. The delivery driver was polite and apologetic and said that the missing large pizza was just behind with another delivery driver. 20 mins later we had not received our pizza so we phoned to ask why. The person on the end of the phone was dismissive and would not listen to us when we tried to explain. He said the pizza would be cooked and delivered (So it can't have been made let alone right behind with another driver) 1.5 hours after our original order a delivery driver turns up with a plain large cheese pizza which wasn't my order. Phoned back again to get the same dismissive person on the end of the phone, who read out our actual order to us and could not understand that we had been delivered something completely different. He said we couldn't speak to a manager as "they going house" and then put us on hold for 10 minutes. Finally got the original polite delivery driver on the phone who said that our pizza would be made properly and this time he listened and confirmed the toppings with the order. He told me i could have something complimentary of my choice as an apology, then at the end of the phone call I had to ask about this and he said he would put a bottle of drink in the order (no choice) 2 hours after the original order was placed the correct pizza finally arrived, but we got no complimentary bottle of drink. TERRIBLE FOOD - AWFUL SERVICE - RUDE PEOPLE!!! - Do not waste your money ordering from this place. The food took over an hour to turn up and when it did it was not warm. The Meaty One pizza was terrible and had hardly any meat on it!!! - Just look at the pictures! And the other vegetarian pizza was awful too - and a pathetic amount of topping too - look at the pictures and you can see the lack of filling - with a crust that is nearly 2 inches wide! When I called the man just kept saying “I will give you credit for 1 pizza” - I argued this and eventually he agreed for 2 credits - but when I called 2 days later to try to get some decent pizzas made they just argued and said they could only give 1 credit - I disputed and they promised the manager/owner would call me the next day but he didn’t. The other telling fact about this place is the pathetic FAKE REVIEWS that appear after a bad review has been written - it is laughable!!! 4 reviews with the same name, Revanth, appearing in them - slightly suspicious!!!
