Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in England

Service - Appalling! Order deliveries are late and pizza arrives cold Product - Last order did helped me with hunger.. because I have lost all appetite when I opened the box..... Derby Allestree is the branch near me that delivers. In the past (and I am talking years, this branch was good and why I started liking Papa Johns), but as years have passed so seemed the service and quality of product went with it. Now and then when I craved for a Pizza I used to order it with low expectations knowing it won't be great as it used to be, but today... today is the last straw that made me write this and even call the branch. Ordered two pizzas (one on the lift in the picture is half/half but it is bit difficult to say as...), as usual order was taking long time and arrived late. Delivery driver knocked once and started walking away, and when I opened the door he just shoved me the pizzas and walked away. When I opened those boxes to check what is inside... I slowly closed them.. took them down to the kitchen, placed it in a bin bag and threw them out because that was disgusting! Pizza was all mushed and all over the place (like Sebastien Loeb himself have taken pizza for a spin) and the box was just grease.. pure...

12/02/21 update: refund received.

08/02/21 update: I managed to get through to the shop and Vicky assured me he has requested a refund, this should be with Head Office to process. He also offered a complementary Pizza and side, so I've increased the rating to 3 stars and will update when the refund comes through.

Original comments below- AVOID AVOID AVOID, we have issues in the past but today take the P!$$. They added delivered to the order after 45mins, I called them but no answer for 30mins, then when the driver was outside Vicky answered the phone. It was a s if they knew it was late.

The pizzas boxes were freezing and when we opened the box the pizzas were squashed into one corner, as if the driver had put them on their side.

I asked Vicky to tell his driver to take the pizzas and provide us a refund as we couldnt wait another 1.5 hours. He said he would issue a refund in a few minute.

Nothing came and they don't bother answering...

Pizzas themselves were nice enough to eat, not the warmest of pizzas to be honest. The big downfall was the the delivery.. it took about 25 mins during the delivering stage when we literally just live around the corner. The man did not delivery how he was supposed to. how it says on the website that they place it on the floor on an empty cardboard box and step back. He did not. Instead he knocked on the door and waited for me to open the door which he then got abit too uncomfortably close to my door and me! while passing over the boxes of pizzas to me by hand! And stuck around by the door afterwards. I'm sorry but with the situation we're in at the moment this is absolutely terrible! It's not hard to follow these simple steps. So unfortunately I wont be ordering from this Papa Johns in the near future again as I do not feel...
