Pavilion's Kitchen — Restaurant in England

Highly disappointing and came across as plain rude. Having read the reviews, my wife and I were looking forward to enjoying a brunch with our 1 year old. We turned up and waited at the entrance for just over 15 minutes - noting there were a couple of tables where people were waiting to pay up. Despite the staff seeing us waiting from the outset, they studiously sought to ignore us, before deciding to send an envoy after a quarter hour to inform us there would be a 45 minute wait for a table. Travelling through the area and decided to visit based on good reviews. Upon arrival the cafe was busy with lots of single people taking up large tables. Not a good table arrangement from the cafe's point of view!

Staff were not attentive or welcoming. No efforts made to seat us resulting in us stood awkwardly in the middle of people eating. The server asked "do we want to order?" without even being offered a menu or even being guaranteed a table - bizarre!

Unfortunately the staff seemed disjointed and we were made to feel awkward and in the way and this was going on whilst people were staring at us whilst trying to eat their food. At this point we just left. Very disappointing experience it...

I have eaten here few times and will not be attending again. Place is fairly dirty, service is slow, plastic flowers on tables are sad, tomatoes come out of a can and are sour each time, hash browns are pale, tea is overdone and has 3 bags giving one a massive, all day long, headache afterwards. You neither get quality nor value for your money, you get mediocre food made out of poor quality ingredients and ideally you move off quickly to free up limited space inside. There is a fan by the door and depending on where you sit down - it may ruin your stay there even further. Staff is friendly yet they have little space or equipment to meet the demand or...
