Lovely restaurant but extremly dissapointed by the service. Firstly 4 of the tapas plates we wanted where out of stock, and one of the tables main meals also were, by the amount of coleslaw on the plates im sure they were short on that too. We specificlly ordered at the till as we asked for 6 tapas plates to come as starters but unfortunately all our meals, sides and the tapas arrived at the same time. When we let the server know we had asked for the tapas to be served first he shrugged his shoulders and just continued to bring the other ppates out. The second waitress did offer us a round of drinks to apologise which we didn't accept. We didn't really want a free round of drinks we just wanted to be able to enjoy the £150 worth of food we had ordered as we'd speciifcally gone to the bar to order the tapas as a starter rather than through the QR code. This was was left to go cold as our mains had arrived at the same time. Really dissapointed by our trip as this was a family treat for us on New Years Day. They have a great gluten free menu which has always been delicious but I was extremely disappointed that my £15 burger looked like a child's meal, portion sizes are small here but this was extremely dissapointing, if theyre not able to get a burger bun gluten free thats adequate in size then I dont think it should be on the menu. Another person on the table also ordered a birger and theres was a respectful size compared to the gluten free option. Another person's buttermilk chicken meal was inedible as it had been fried so much it was...
Read moreI apologise for giving one star, because l enjoyed sitting out in the sun with a friend, drinking Henry Weston's and watching the world go by, but sadly the tranquility was spolt by one person. Now l fully expect him to deny what happened but l know what l witnessed and l hope my version is taken seriously by senior managers and dealt with. There were two young girls sitting nearby, who were just enjoying the sun like us and not doing anything but chatting to themselves, another girl joined them and a few minutes later they were approached by the manager. He proceeded to shout at them, giving warnings of ejection and basically bullying them, l was shocked at what he said and so were the girls, they explained that they'd only been sat down for about 5 mins before we came and he must have mistaken them for someone else. The poor girls were terrified, so l went to speak to him, trying to explain they hadn't done anything. Basically he wouldn't listen, was rude to me and completely refused to acknowledge that he might have made a mistake. Even if the girls had been shouting and swearing like he suggested, they still didn't need to be spoken too like that, they were young girls and he frightened them, Sam is a bully and l sincerely hope a higher manager...
Read moreI'll preface this by saying I'm autistic and have sensory processing disorder, and then let you know that this place is a sensory nightmare. It's loud, they kept turning the music up, which meant all the customers got louder too. Its a large space with lots of people. The pink lemonade I had was really nice. The food was run of the mill, but they did cook the steak as expected. It was a shame it was underseasoned. You order via a QR code, which then has the audacity to try and add a 10% service charge. If I'm doing the wait staffs job by ordering on a website, I'm not tipping. A member of staff came over at the beginning to do nothing other than talk about himself, it felt weird and forced. Then the staff swooped in to remove empty plates before everyone at the table had finished, which only served to make us feel rushed. Not that I wanted to stay for an extended period, the overwhelming clamour and bad music choices made it a hellish experience which the food did not make up for. I'm sure neurotypical people would be fine in this environment. Avoid if you have any sort of sensory processing issues or other...
