The Whitby Way — Restaurant in England

Some of the worst bar staff and food I've ever experienced. The girl serving spent most of her time on her phone and let out a huge sigh whenever we wanted serving as though we had inconvenienced her. I had heard the food here wasn't great so only ordered chips with cheese. When they arrived the plate they arrived on was filthy, they were soggy, barley warm and had a huge black hair mixed in with them. When I asked for a refund the bar staff insisted the hair wasn't there when they served them and refused to help adding why don't we go somewhere else if we weren't happy. It's fair to say we won't be visiting Whitby way again...

Came here in 2015. Now the staff are lovely very nice people but I canot stress enough about how others drinking there were so disrespectful to my fiance because of his height. I heard a man sing hi Ho (from snow white and the seven dwarves ) and as we was leaving a Geordie woman shouted out to us "what's the matter can't stand the noise of us?" I'm sorry but we are not coming here again you should keep your eyes and ears open to hate crime and piss takers! We didn't deserve that and what did we do to...

Came here for a second night as staff were friendly the first evening. We got shown to a table that had not turned up an hour late. Just settled to be told they had turned up? NO.... upon leaving the lady was clearly moving larger parties around and thought she'd accommodate 4 new customers and kick me n my husband out!!! Well we are here all week with family joining us. Won't go back now RUDE AND OBVIOUS what you did!!!! Just for 2 more drinks??? Terrible...
