UPDATE REVIEW: I went the other night for my birthday and this place has taken a steep decline, tiny glass of pepsi now for £3.30. The pizza which i usually love was not dry and crisp like usual but soggy and limp. The beef cannelloni tasted like it had been frozen and then for the meatballs oh boy very unpleasant, though the sauce was nice the meatballs tasted exactly like the cheap ready made and cooked ones you get in the packet from a corner shop, they were reformed meatballs. Then to top of the disappointing night, usually piccos would serve you a shot of lemoncello, but apparently, they had ran out... didn't even want to look at the dessert menu, I just wanted to pay and leave. I understand times get tough as prices increase but you can't cost cut by reducing quality and/or portion sizes.
OLD REVIEW: I love this place, the food is fantastic especially the pizza's, the closest I have found to a proper Italian pizza. Spoke to the owner very up beat and charming man and he is very passionate about his work. The price is also very reasonable, the service is good and quick. The atmosphere is very delightful, good music, and light, and its warm which is perfect for those cold nights. The only thing lacking here is the dessert menu which doesn't seem to have...
Read moreThe guy behind the bar I’m assuming the owner thinks he is the best pizza maker this side of Naples ! He is by a long way not! Crust was rock hard had no flavour. Scrimped on toppings , I had the Parma ham large pizza and it had 1.5 slices of Parma ham on it . Tomato base sauce tasted like it was days old! Asked to move tables as some of the party did not turn up and he was stroppy! Probably why we got poor pizzas. Really bad experience if you want authentic pizzas that actually has flavour go to stable hearth just a stones throw away! There was 12 of us in the party and the total bill was £141 and the restaurant took it apon themselves to add £45 service charge ! That’s over 30% I’m sure these guys went to clown school and not culinary school! 3 of the 12 mains came out after everyone had pretty much finished their meals! Stay well clear of this place!...
Read moreWent for dinner last week. It was SO cold you could see your breath in the restaurant. Had to wear thick coat. Knife almost stuck to your hand. Food got cold within minutes of arrival. Dude, if your heating breaks or you chose not to turn it on you should really tell people - because it was actually really unpleasant waiting for our food. Almost like sitting outside. Not exaggerating - it was Really unpleasant. All it takes is some communication with your customers. Like hey sorry, heat is off it is going to be cold if you want to eat here. That would be fine as long as you know when you sit...
