The Turks Head — Restaurant in England

Not entirely sure they keep bringing up something that happened a year ago when alcohol mixed with my medication which ibwasnt aware of and rectified after. which i apologised for and never gave them any hasstle for all this time, my review is based off a recent experince with door staff outside the venue.They also delete negative reviews of facebook and are incapable of rational conversation. Mental helath nights appear to be a way of attracting customers for business cos they could not care less about their regualrs. 😆 keep getting responses saying i was berred parementely for my behaviour, when actually that was for 3 months, i was bareed for questioning god forbid why i got barred for a year even despite my apologies and respecting their decision since then, upon entering not being aware i was barred for those 3 months. I apologised sinecerely and had no issue with being barred. seemed unfair to be punished for something i wasnt even actually aware of as got no response to my apology,questions or explinations as to what went on that night despite being a regular customer who would often help the staff out( even applied for a job there!) got told by the door staff I was going to be put on pub watch for simply being stood outside the venue waiting for a vulnerable person to attend a wake despite not entering the venue for over a year. The male door staff was absoloutly spot on and lovely but the woman needs to give her head a wobble thinking public land is hers whilst littering on it at the same time. Hit and miss here, we expected an 80s90s night but the music wasn't so I wasn't really impressed with the DJs. Unfortunately there was an obscenely drunk mother and daughter in, to the level where the female toilets were out of action for a very long time and an ambulance was called. The staff handled the whole thing as professionally as possible and supervised use of the male cubicle for lasses which was nice of them......BUT I would say how come they got in as if you seem that drunk most door staff will decline entry ......it is possible they were in a long time but I know the lovely bar ban has worked there a long time and I am confident he would have refused to serve them if they'd been in a while Anyway, I do like the place and the bar staff and so it still gets stars, just less than...

Naff. Went out in Darlo for first time in 13 years and got a very frosty reception. Apparently this is a FPO orientated pub where one must not make merry or have a laugh.
