I ordered delivery via uber, being told the restaurant delivers on their own. I presume this saves them money rather than relying on uber. They accept my order, 90 minutes later I’m waiting on the food, the restaurant doesn’t answer their phone so I leave a message. Ten minutes later they call me back saying sorry we don’t have a delivery driver, can you pick up? I was told this about 100 minutes after I had ordered, hungry and angry at this point. The restaurant should not have accepted the order and I should have been notified of this much sooner, not almost two hours later! I was extremely disappointed with my order from Pintoh Thong. The vegetable tempura was flavourless and tasted like it had been made from frozen vegetables, arriving soggy and poorly presented (see photos). I raised my concerns and was initially told a refund would be given, but later discovered this was not actually possible. The lack of honesty and consistency in handling the complaint left me feeling misled.
