Had a great experience here over the weekend with my Wife. Managed to get a table for two on the sunday evening walk in, we had the poppadoms which came with the usual condiments (chutney, some sort of minty/yoghurt and the onion salad?). Very nice.
We both enjoyed our curries I got the Gurkha mixed meat special under the Chef specials and it did not disappoint, had some heat but honestly not too hot. Wife had the Chicken Tikka Masala, sweeter side and not too hot which was to her preference. We got the Pashwari naan with it, also sweet but complimented with the less sweet curry was very nice.
Service was pretty quick, we didn't order starters so food came out quicker - was just all around very tasty food, priced as i'd expect and shares a joint top spot with my other favourite Indian...
Read moreI'm sure the quality of the food is great except I couldn't actually eat it because it was incendiary hot. Half an hour and I can still taste the chilli. My parents were Anglo Indian so I am no stranger to spices - haldi, jeera, garam masala, methi, but not just heaps of chilli etc etc. Now I understand a lot of people like this and compete for who can eat the hottest food but I am NOT one of those people.
