Planet Buffet — Restaurant in England

In all fairness I actually think I would have more enjoyment dining in a prison cell. We planned to go out for a meal and chose planet buffet as we have never been there.... and its safe to say we will never go there again. From the outside the building looks dated and low class, but it got even worse when we walked in. The decor is vile and like something out of a cheap and dirty backstreet doss hole, there is obviously no importance to cleaning and hygiene as the place was filthy with bits of food under most tables. We took an already reluctant seat at a table to find the table was dirty, the menus were battered and worn and there wasn't the most pleasant smell in the air. The place was dead with just one family sat on the same side of the room as us. As we were debating ordering a drink we overhead a conversation from the other family saying that they all felt ill after eating their food...... and at this point we cut our losses and up and left. Food poisoning, filthy restaurant, no acknowledgement on arrive and decor from a previous century...... safe to say we will NEVER be going...

Large selection of food and lovely friendly staff. Our dinner duo was one meat eater and one vegan; usually a nightmare for Chinese food, but this place was a goldmine! The staff clearly pointed out the vegan options, highlighted the ones with hidden bits of egg and meat as a warning, then offered to ask the kitchen to cook up a couple of extra vegan dishes to give us more variety. We were given a huge plate of fried rice noodles with vegetables, and a dish of tofu with sweet and sour sauce, at no extra cost. So grateful for an easy vegan Chinese food experience. If you go there when you're hungry you can definitely get your money's worth - we managed 5 plates between us and can't wait to...

Hadn't been for 15 years decided to give it another go. Food selection is very very limited, bland, luke warm, not fresh and clearly been sat under the heat lamps for hours Any sauces, soups and currys literally form a skin. I go to amazing Asia alot and the comparison between this place is crazy! This place needs *Fresh definitive chinese dishes, not just plain noodles, plain chicken so you have to construct you own kind of "chicken chow mein". *A good clean *More options And to have the trays refilled regular, instead of a few pieces of dry chicken stuck to the bottom. it's a real shame as I used to have fond memories of this place but amazing Asia is top tier...
