SHOCKING! Cheap nasty cafe with terrible service, HUGELY over priced basic menu (nothing special) disgusting attitude from young girl who could only communicate in a Neanderthal / grunting / ah-huh "whatever" attitude. Plastic table covers, laminated menus, most tables small and huddled around beams. We were told to sit anywhere but space was limited and the decent sized table reserved "just in case". £6 for a basic bacon sarni. Go to the Green Grocer in old Amersham (I confirm I am not linked to any catering business) where you get deli style food for less with outstanding service and modern not 70s decor. By the way why not call yourself a tea BAG room, dozens of choices of tea bags but only one green, one (cheap but over priced Earl Grey) and Yorkshire tea? REALLY!?!? If you want loose leaf afternoon tea also consider the Lady Grey tea room in Wendover and visit the antiques centre whilst there.

I don’t mind paying a bit more for something special but nothing special about this place – except the location/exterior. To keep the price as it is they will need to work harder with the menu, food presentation and the service. Don’t recommend to eat here. Maybe just for a drink. (...be aware of 'minimum charge' during the...
Read moreWow, what a charming slow paced tea room. A small, well formed menu of homemade baps, sandwiches and scones. The homemade sourdough baps made using a carefully looked after 8 year old starter are miles above any sourdough we’ve ever tasted. Seating for few, but complete menu can be taken away. The lovely lady who owns the tea room was so friendly. Wish we lived closer, as we would be here every weekend!
Ps, every customer who left was praising the quality of their meal on the...
