This is a normally good restaurant with great staff. Sadly my experience today fell a little below that usual super experience I always feel one gets from a Prezzo dining experience. Firstly staff are amazing, and my server Ilona was wonderful. I ordered a starter of fried mozarrella with calabrese sauce and a main of salmon pizza, downed with a nice large bottle of sparkling water. No complaints on starter. The main took quite awhile to arrive I got there around 5:15pm but well past 6:15 it hadn't arrived. When it did, it was sadly awful. The salmon on top was good and generous but whatever they did to justify a base was so awful it actually made the perfectly good salmon taste bad. I got to a point I just scraped the salmon off the last bit of the pizza, ate it and left the base. I wanted to order dessert but; disappointed by the main, I asked for the bill before finishing so I could leave. When the server returned with the bill I had to be honest and tell her . It's a £20 pizza and when I look back at the great seafood pizzas the Prezzo chain have past made, this one really left me sad. She did say it was new and; as a gratuity, made it complimentary.. I did say I ordered it and ate so should pay but she insisted. I conveyed my thanks and 'appreciation' to her personally as I settled the bill. I'd still go back to Prezzo but would ask the restaurant; please, don't allow new premium products to be trialled and marketed unless they exceed what you have previously produced. Prezzo is much about the dining experience, and for someone like me who has previously always left Prezo outlets fully satisfied, I'd have genuinely preferred to enjoy the usual perfect meal rather than the comp. Please though, take that pizza temporarily off the menu and revise it (please) . It honestly left me today wishing I'd ordered something else from your menu (which I'm certain would have been much more enjoyable).
Still a fan of Prezzo, just not that abomination of a pizza š
Just an FYI; 2months on-2 Oct 22- no one came back per...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointing. We came here for dinner but the service and food was just disappointing.
Food- the food was very middle of the road. I know that Prezzo is middle of the road but with how expensive itās getting (almost a hundred for 2 starters 2 mains and a kids meal) Iād expect better food.
The pizza was nice but the centre to mid area was very soggy and wet.
The burger was cremated.
The starters were quite nice I really enjoyed the Prawn starter I like that.
Service- the service was again, unfortunately lacklustre. The place was basically empty yet we still had multiple times where we asked for something and it was forgotten or took an unreasonable time to arrive like dips for example. Again, the place was empty, it would have been more reasonable if it was busy.
Atmosphere- it looks good inside it does seem a bit dark but there is scaffolding out front so Iām unwilling to confirm if that is how it is without all that out front. The inside does look good even if it does need a bit of a deep clean.
Overall- it was a shame, I think itās a worse version of what the competition offers like Pizza Express etc.
Itās sort of like Pizza Hut. It does what the competition does but worse. There really isnāt much reason why you would want to go here rather than another place.
It feels like itās another way of the Dodo restaurant chain that will continue to operate steamrolling into a brand left behind compared to the competition. Itās a shame.
Addendum- the problem wasnāt the staff, those were very small irritations. The big problem here is that the place is expensive and food is not great. The problem is the far better and cheaper alternatives.
Hopefully it can improve and offer something unique to give reason...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I went to this restaurant last night. The waitress at 6 PM. on 30th October was shoc kingly disgraceful. Hopefully, the manager will investigate this. Firstly, she rushed us to choose our table in quite an impolite manner. Secondly, in Italian restaurants, the staff should know about authentic Italian food. If the staff are Italians, they always know that you can always request Spaghetti aglio e olio, even if it's not on the menu, because it's simply spaghetti with olive oil! However, we were not expecting them to do it for us, we were merely curious to know if they could do the dish, that's all!!! We were entitled to ask questions before ordering our meals! but the disgraceful waitress not only was not trained about the Italian cuisine but was extremely dis graceful. She responded to my request with an aggressive "Huh?" After I repeated the name of the dish, she left our table while raising her voice, telling us something like " we should stick to the menue only. " She could say that in a graceful manner, thete was no need t9 be but impolite and disgraceful. Both my husband and I were shocked at the behaviour displayed. Having said that, we are thankful to the disgraceful waitress because, as a result of the demeanour exhibited, we left the restaurant and found an authentic Italian restaurant across the street with authentic Italian food and drinks, as well as courteous, attentive staff who are indeed trained about the Italian cuisine. I enjoyed my lovely Spaghetti aglio...
