The Albany Palace is located near one of the entrances to Trowbrige Park. It belongs to the Wetherspoons chain, so the food comes as standard, and in fairness, it's not too bad. The staff are great and always happy to help. Service is fast, better than most fast food outlets. This is a great place for a quick bite to eat or a cheap evening meal out. They always have various meal deals, which can include a drink, soft or alcoholic. The restaurant itself is a little tired and could do with a make over, however, it is t be expected with the amount of footfall they have on a daily basis. Although the toilets are upstairs, there is a disabled toilet near the main entrance downstairs. This is accessable by using a radar key, which stops everyone using it. I agreed but asked if I could have my food as takeaway so the children could still eat. Server then said I could not have a drink with the meal as they can’t be take away? , even though drinks were available in bottles (just still water). I felt uncomfortable as I overheard staff discussing me over the microphone.
I did get a refund and the manager was happy to do so, but I want to write this to avoid anyone else having...
