Renoufs is what has been missing from Wimborne for far too long.
It has been harder and harder to go out for really good quality food and drink in Wimborne without feeling rushed.
Without a doubt the owners have made the best use of the space in all the time I have known the venue. The decor is brilliant and really brings the building to life with all the bottles of wine stacked up around the outside.
The service was brilliant as the staff really seemed to care about how you are enjoying your experience. This is followed up by a brilliant selection platters with great cheeses and cured meets on them.
Finally you cannot go to Renoufs without trying there wine. It is definitely the best place to go to in Wimborne if you know what you like in wine as there wine list is a proper length and has a great variety. There is also the ability to try a tasting platter of a few different wines which is great if you don’t know what you would like to go for.
This is a restaurant that I can definitely recommend to a friend. However plan to spend some time there as this is an experience to be...
Read moreWhen we got there at 6pm, we were told it would be table service for drinks but they would be too busy to keep going backwards and forward to serve us. We were a party of 10. This was our Christmas party, so good start! The food was lovely but we were there more than 30 minutes before we were served. We were asked at about 7.45 if we were finished, we were all still picking and there was plenty of food still on the boards. We asked if they would leave them. I rounded up the money and went to pay. The 'optional gratuity' was on the bill. Renoufs, people pay a gratuity if they are happy with the service - not because you place it there. It is embarrassing to ask for it to be removed. When I returned to the table we were being rushed off the table. One of the £89.90 boards was removed whilst one of our party was still eating. Rather than a happy, relaxed reward for a hard couple of years in health care, it felt rushed and as if we had to work around what...
Read morePrepare to be overwhelmed with choice, that's sums up my first experience of dining here. The wine list offers 200 bottles so there's something to suit all palates and wallets. If that's too much and you'd prefer to sample a few small glasses throughout the evening then flights of wine are available. The staff were very helpful. Choosing cheese and meats doesn't have to be as prescriptive as the meal board states. If you'd prefer more cheese and less meat that's ok. Plus you can add more of either if you have a larger appetite. You can have as much bread and biscuits as you want too. Flavours and presentation were both excellent. Table water is provided too to keep the body in balance for fluids. A our visit was for a Birthday and some candles were popped into the cheese, a nice touch. Will definitely be returning for our next...
