Rossetti — Restaurant in England

Service pretty slow and several mistakes despite pre-ordering. My main if pasta ragu was pretty standard and fairly small portion for a main course. Had to request water jugs on table on more than one occasion. The wrong menu was given to us with only half the amount of chocolates for the table then had to re-request our correct bill which arrived with no chocolates. When I complained to staff about this the owner stepped in and was incredibly rude. No apology for any error on their part and he said we are organising chocolates now and that they would not deliver them to our size of group with the bill. When I said he was being rude he basically said it us my restaurant I can do what I like. Well he can do what he likes and I certainly choose not to go back to Rosetti's. My wife and I don't visit Rossetti's as much as we'd like to but having spent an evening there for a special event, I thought I had to leave our thoughts on what was, to us, perfection, again! Luckily, my wife and I, through both work and private events, have visited many very fine eateries and Michelin starred restaurants over the years, The Hand and Flowers in Marlow and Locanda locatelli in Mayfair to list my favourites. Each time we revisit Rossetti's in Brackley, we have always compared it to those other far more famous establishments and each time, Rossetti's comes out on top. Not once have we ever not liked what we'd chosen to eat, we've always had first class service, food and it will always remain our number one choice for and evening out in Brackley. Had a lovely meal, attentive staff, cosy restaurant. Would definitely recommend the lamb. Returned last night and the meal was amazing. Excellent food and service. I had the wild boar tagliatelle from the specials menu and it was wonderful. Fabulous restaurant which I recommend extremely highly.

Updated July 2020 Had another amazing meal last night. Our first meal out since LOCKDOWN began. Excellent food and service as always. Social distancing measures in place, hand sanitiser at the entrance and all staff wore facemasks. This time I tried the Brusshetta which was so very fresh and wonderful flavors, the artichoke was lovely. I had the Salmon tagliatelle which was superb.
