EDIT: To reply to the owner who commented on my review as it won't let me reply back directly. No, you didn't give me any stamps as I don't use a loyalty card with you and I didn't get any free drinks because I haven't been back to your café since. You clearly had another unhappy costumer who complained about the same issue and I'll bet we are not the only ones. They're all going to be bad quality as none of them ever hold up so most likely all or most of your customers will be unhappy.

Food and coffee is nice, the staff are lovely. I've mentioned to the staff before that their takeaway cups are bad. They break apart quickly, you end up drinking cardboard before you can finish your drink if you don't drink quickly enough. I don't always have a takeaway cup on me. I got a coffee from them recently and the cup not only broke apart but a hole just split from the cup and I ended up loosing half the coffee before I was able to finish it and my clothes got coffee all over it and down my arms as I tried finishing the drink while it was leaking coffee everywhere. I tried slowing the flow (which became worse) as I drank it, I lost half the drink before I finished it. We shouldn't have to worry about getting a takeaway and losing half the drink and...

My first visit and not a very nice experience. Though first things first, the coffee was reasonable. I ordered the brie and cranberry panini which when it arrived was a big disappointment. Masses of cranberry flooded the rather thin and inferior looking panini with not enough brie, resulting in a kind of soggy jam sandwich that had the contents spill out of it. You could hardly pick it up and any resemblance to any other brie and cranberry panini I'd had at other shops was miniscule and incomparable. Next to the panini was some scraggy lettuce and a little bit of red which might have been part of a tomato. It looked like it had been thrown on the plate from about six foot away. I know it's free but they really shouldn't have bothered. In addition my wife's slice of cake was very small compared to in other shops. I've got to say it's a long time since I left any of a panini but after a valiant attempt at keeping the contents in the panini I left some. As a frequent and loyal visitor of Boomers, I can provide a 15 Yr plus review, honestly obtained and explained. I cannot agree with former view of staff. They try extremely hard to deliver top service every time. Has someone missed my vanilla from coffee... Yes perhaps. Has my scone missed the microwave to warm.... Yes perhaps.. Have they ever not dealt with the issue.... Never. The food is top rate, plentiful and wholesome. The atmosphere is vibrant and entertaining. Out doors but indoors. How does it compare with high street examples... It doesn't frankly! It exceeds it in every way. Biased perhaps but as my local I love it and a proud member of the Boomer Fan Club.
