Plenty of cafes and restaurants such as Costa, Starbucks, Nandos, Subway, Pizzahut and Burger King.
There is a cafe called Ru Cafe and is located on the ground floor. This is a very popular cafe and is usually busy. The staff are polite and the service is good!
Another good cafe is The Panini Brothers which is situated upstairs. They provide a wide range of such things as Baguettes, toasted sandwiches, paninis etc.. Well worth popping in if you fancy a drink and something to eat.
There are public toilets, including disabled. These are upstairs next to Burger King. There is a lift as well as escalators, these are situated at the main entrance.
If you like watching films you are in luck. There is an IMAX cinema with 9 screens. The entrance is located next door to Costa's.
For the children there is a trampoline centre. It is called Flip Out Trampoline Park and is located at the end of Pier 5.
You can get a No. 1 or 2 bus to Dockside from the Chatham Waterfront Bus Station which is situated across the road from the Pentagon Shopping Centre.
While at Dockside you can visit the Marina or even the Historic Dockyard which is close by.
There is also a distillery called The Copper Rivit. It is a rather new addition, I believe it has only been open for about 3 years and offers a good product, well worth a visit I have been told.
By the way Sunday opening times are between 11 and 5! So don't get there too early, especially on...
Read moreThis shopping outlet has had a long past of no one going there to shop and many places opening but shortly closing down. However, in the last 10 yrs it's becoming a more popular place to go and shop thus the shops are lasting much longer than they used to.
The selection of shops inside the mall is varied and not bad at all. They have: The Range, kitchen utensils shop, Clares Accessories, Choice/Next, Burger King, shoe shop, hiking shop, luggage shop, clothes shops, sports shop, Simmonds uniform shop and loads more.
Handy and local there are also quite a few restaurants such as Nandos, Pizza Hut, Poppadoms, The Pump House and lots more.
Ninja Warrior and Flip Out bounce park are there for fun and frolics too.
And with an Odeon cinema and a Tru Gym located there as well. It seems there is something there for everyone, whether you are meeting for a coffee, taking the kids out, clothes/house decor shopping, going to see the latest releases on the big screen or even hitting the gym. This place has it all.
Give it a visit and see for yourself.
There is a large free car park with quite a few disabled and mum and baby designated parking spaces. Wheelchair accessible curbs and lifts on the inside of the mall to get to the second floor.

Read moreIf you’re going to relax and have a coffee, or treat yourself to a meal, the Dockside can accommodate you. Shopping wise, Epic fail. No shops are here that draws me in and makes me want to return. Then add to this fact they decided to charge you to park… It makes no sense and puts me off totally now. You’d understand charging to park if people could walk offsite and go elsewhere but there’s nothing for maybe a mile and a half except a pub and a chip shop. I used to use the Cinema here but refuse to now due to the parking fees. Now I go to a Cinema with free parking and hassle free, with no headaches. Such a shame. I got a ticket here early one morning by parking and walking to the pub nearby to look at the menu out of interest as the Dockside wasn’t quite open yet. I’m not bitter just letting you know if you get spotted walking offsite and not into the Dockside or food venues, or the Cinema you’ll get a ticket on your Car. Lastly a month ago the Range had all their upstairs doors locked. Totally in breach of Fire safety regulations. No idea if this is common practice for them? But if it is hopefully no one will be harmed, if there’s a fire… Scrap the parking fees and I’ll visit again to use the Cinema and enjoy a meal without having to Clock watch....
