So sad, so very sad. We ordered a mushroom omelette. What mushroom omelette. You couldn't see the mushrooms, they had disintergrate, due to the omelette being burnt and looking as flat as a pancake. The chips were hard, they weren't even cooked properly. And the butter chicken was so tough, that we couldn't even chew it. To top it off, the meal tasted like Soap!
We decided to call them back, to explain the above. Instead of recognising the we had paid £21 for our food, and try to rectify our complaint; so as to keep our custom, all the management wanted to do, was argue. Totally disregarding our disappointment.
We love Indian food, we really do. We have had many an Indian meal in our time. However, nothing tasteless and disgusting, as what we orded this evening.
The good review's must of been posted by the staff. Not only did we feel sick after consuming some of the food, where we discovered we couldn't consumers any more, but we also had been robbed.
We had to give one star, just to give a review. So that we could give out a warning to those of you, who maybe thinking of having a meal from this establishment.

Read moreI picked up a collection order a few days ago and tried to email you about my total disatisfaction with the quality of the food and pathetic portion size, but you don't publish an email for your busness, so I have left this review.... The Kadai Paneer only contained 6 small pieces of paneer and was completely smothered in onions without much sauce. The paneer was totally favourless - very unenjoyable. The chicken in the Chicken Balti was very tough and again lacked flavour. There was not much sauce and again completely smothered in onions - are you filling your dishes with cheap vegetables to pad them out instead of putting decent quantities the main ingredients in?? There are plenty of Indian restaurants around Southend that manage to serve much better quality food and at reasonable prices, so needless to say I will not be using Saffron...
Read moreI was so looking forward to my curry this evening, previously having given this restaurant 5 stars. Tonight however my food arrived cold. I don't like it when people argue with me/ the customer. There's no excuse ever for food to arrive cold. Past deliveries have arrived piping hot despite having been transported across town. My Biriani arrived in a plastic container rather than a foil container and was stone cold. My sheekh kebab was hard and stone cold instead of being hot and deliciously juicy. So disappointed. My naan was tepid. In this economic climate you would think restaurants would work hard to maintain standards. I won't now be able to recommend this restaurant to friends with...
