Madeira Cafe — Restaurant in England

Absolutely disgusting rude staff. Me and my friends ordered a meal each (4 in total). Bill came to approx £35). One of my Black friends "politely" asked the manager/owner to cook the eggs a bit more, until they were hard. The manager gave him a dirty look as she took the plate back to get the eggs cooked. After we had finished our meals, we were sitting and chatting with each other for what must have been about 10-15 mins at most. The manager/owner started saying to her staff "only spent £35, and they don't want to leave". What made her comments more shameful and disgusting was the fact. The cafe WAS EMPTY, there were plenty of free tables for other customers. If customers were queuing up and waiting for tables and we were hogging them. Then maybe I could understand her SNIDE REMARKS. But the cafe was literally EMPTY (apart from us).

Absolutely disgusting attitude. Don't go there and give "scummy" people like...

Very relaxed Café with a huge variety on their menu. There are some traditional Portuguese food alongside some of the British favourites.

The coffee is pretty good, the staff is friendly and there is outdoor seating available.

Personally, you should try the codfish cakes (Bolinhos de Bacalhau) as they tasted hot and fresh and would definitely come back for...

Best local cafe! My boyfriend and I choose to visit here often. Food is good and priced well. Staff are lovely. Sort of people that if you’re lovely to them, they’ll be and are lovely to you.
