I went to Sakura Sushi Bar with my partner on a Sunday evening, and it was just a brilliant dining experience in every way. They'd only been open a couple of months, but you could tell they'd hit the ground running and were truly earning all these great reviews.

The staff were really friendly and attentive, very knowledgeable of the menu and genuinely happy to be helpful. Could not have asked for nicer folk.

The restaurant has three seating sections, each beautifully decorated. They had different music playing indoors and out, so in picking your seat you could kind of pick a "soundtrack" that suited your tastes for the evening. The hanging paper lanterns in the covered outdoor section were especially pretty!

Now onto the best part: the food and drinks were beyond delicious. Especially recommend the cocktails, a great variety of choices all masterfully mixed by one of their lovely staff. The Clover Club is particularly good if you like a sharp lemon zing in your drink! All the sushi we ordered was fresh and really tasty; there were so many fantastic options we ended up ordering 6 or 7 different items and they were great for sharing. Especially recommend their eel fish dishes, and their noodle dishes (the chicken udon was incredible) are packed with so many wonderful flavours. All really reasonably priced too, you could easily feed two adults for less than £50 (including drinks!).

Definitely a 5* restaurant and a memorable evening for us simply for how good everything about it was. I'd probably eat there every week if I lived locally; sadly, until I'm next in town, it's dreams of their udon and maki rolls for me!

Thank you so much to all the staff and chefs at Sakura; your restaurant is one to be...

Absolutely terrible experience. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, while a table of six—who arrived after us—was served their drinks, full meals, and even finished eating before we got anything. The only difference? They seemed to know someone working there.

This kind of blatant favoritism is disgusting and completely unacceptable in any restaurant. There was no apology, no explanation—just shockingly bad service. After waiting far too long, we finally gave up, paid for our drinks, and left without ever receiving our food.

If you’re not part of the “in-crowd,” expect to be ignored. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like a second-class customer.

Respectfully, the owner’s response is not true as no one advised us that our food would take nearly a whole hour to arrive, we probably wouldn’t even come in. Also there was also another two person table after the mentioned table, and they have also received their...

Great place if you enjoy a good atmosphere and professional staff! was greeted once walked was early on reservation but still sat me straight away

Starters: was around 21 minutes but fine as was busy, the chicken spring rolls was delicious aromatic flavours crispy accompanied by sweet chilli sauce if you are a dipper like me recommend to get more sauce! The tempura prawns was crispy nicely cooked was not overcooked which was nice full size prawns !

Mains:

We had the sakura rolls personally for me and my wife was too much creamcheese over powered the taste of the salmon& other components. The taktaki tuna was really good not sure what the green stuff was but accompanied well with the time

Overall I would visit again no complaints other than too much cream cheese in the rolls we...

Soooo impressed! We came on a Saturday night and we did book - glad we did as it was busy so do recommend booking! Interior is fun, and staff was good. Lovely selection of drinks, we had the Kuro Gin which was really nice. As for food, there is so much to choose from, we ended up sharing Edamame (simple but they were delicious), California prawn, Mango and prawn salad, Baked salmon roll (recommend), Ebi tempura (also highly recommend), Philadelphia yin and the tuna tempura. All of it was really good, I was really impressed as it’s no often you can find good sushi. I highly recommend if you’re craving some sushi and will definitely be back. Wed didn’t try any of the other dishes as we purely went for the sushi!
