Just left salty olive completely disappointed. First time we have been and on the face of it really enjoyed ourselves up until we tried to pay the bill.

The woman on the till bluntly stated we needed to bring our food sticks. Apparently this is how they total up the bill but no one had advised us of this up until we tried to pay. I think at this stage even if she were helpful or tried to explain the process politely, it would've been fine. The table next to us paid at the table so it was all pretty unclear. We stated they were outside on the table so we could go and get them, which we did.

Back at the till I passed them to her, she looked at them and then asked "is this all there are, are you sure?!". Essentially accusing us of being dishonest about what we were due to pay. I told her she could go and check the table if she liked, but she declined.

As you can imagine this spoiled our experience of the place. I don't understand how a restaurant can function in this way. I've never experienced anything like it. I certainly won't be going back any time soon purely because of how we...

Went for the first time (but definitely won’t be the last time) last weekend for an early pre-cinema drink and bite to eat. Excellent wine list. Really friendly and helpful staff. I thought the option to choose food by the piece (pinchos in Spanish - just like chiccheti in Venice) is really unique and fun. It allows for much more of a variety of dishes for a small group (we were just two) than normal tapas would - plus the excitement of you don’t know what’s going to come out next. Beautifully decorated restaurant too - with more casual and modern feel in the front half, and a more intimate and classic feel in the back. Great to see it is dog-friendly too. My favourite dishes were the halloumi and sweet potato salad, which had a really fresh orange dressing, and the prawns in tomato and chilli, which were really fresh and well-cooked (which is surprisingly hard to find in the UK in my experience)

Forgive the rather poor photo - it doesn’t do the food or venue...

Booked for a partners birthday , after Salty olive uploaded , a promotional offer for wednesdays of unlimited pealla and a glass of roija for £25pp.... booked a table of 8 turned up , ordered on this offer which was alliterated via telephone on booking , it was not offered they had changed it....

To a very small , sizing of pealla not a ready meals worth ... glass of red/ white rioja .. with no room on our guests to swap ,who didn't drink for soft drinks.

And churros , which over half of us didnt want.

The company ,i was with was then told to order extras if we was still hungry - which we was, so did .

Really unhappy with being promised one thing and being forced to ... spend more money then need due to the promotion not being upheld like offered ... which i have pictured of the promotion... and when it was offered aswell as .... our reciept to what was spent!!!. For the first time coming extremly...

I recently hosted my daughter's Sweet 16 at The Salty Olive Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the event special. The highlight of the evening was the mocktail masterclass, which was both fun and educational. The tapas were absolutely delicious, with a variety of flavors that pleased all our guests. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who ensured everything ran smoothly. The beautiful decor added an extra touch of elegance to the celebration, making the atmosphere even more delightful. A special thank you to Susannah, the manager, and the entire staff for their exceptional service and hospitality. I highly recommend The Salty Olive for any special occasion – they truly know how to make an event memorable!
