Walking in to luckys we liked the look off the place, our two boys were very excited as american food is their favourite. Unfortunately that's where it ends ! We ordered via their online app food ordering system this took two attempts. We managed to order a couple of burgers asking one to be sesame seed free, as one of our sons has a intolerance to the seeds. The burger came out with sesame seeds on it . The 2 bowls of chilli beef with tortilla chips came out ,the chilli was extremely dry. The second burger, which was the 2 smashed patties burger was ordered with a side of mac & cheese. When it arrived there was no mac & cheese as requested. A separate portion was then requested as our son is a bit partial to a mac & cheese. However, when it did turn up it was disgusting. No real cheese flavor and the pasta overcooked to an almost mush consistency. Puddings , we thought we would give them a go , everything was very dry, the only saving grace was the ice cream which made it palatable. What I am about to say is on a personal note , most Burger restaurants have ketchup and mayo on the tables, what we didnt realise is this restaurant charges for ketchup and mayo. So when my son went to the bar and got some he thought they were there to be taken. A while later a waitress came over and explained that Luckys normally charge for the ketchup and mayo, on this occasion they wouldn't charge and that he should have asked for the sauces before he took them!! Just to highlight there was no one around to ask when he went to the bar to get them , we said sorry and we are happy to pay as she explained her boss had seen our son take the sauce and made it a issue with his staff member. Poor show from the...
Read moreAesthetically, the place is 10/10 – calm and friendly.
We ordered the mac and cheese loaded fries with chicken (definitely a high-calorie meal, and yes, it was worth it). It was packed with flavour and absolutely delicious. Next, we had the buffalo chicken wings, which came in a generous portion, were really filling, and full of taste. The stack burger was excellent – well-made and incredibly tasty.
To finish, we had the Nutella waffle – YUM! Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of indulgence. Portions are large enough to share, which is great.
A few downsides:
Sauces shouldn’t be charged separately – standard ketchup and mayo should be available on the tables, and a complimentary dip should be offered with meals.
The burger menu is quite difficult to navigate due to various add-ons and extra charges (e.g., upgrading to a meal or adding cheese to chips). While I understand the cost and profit margins, pricing needs to be clearer.
The mixed-gender toilets made me feel quite uncomfortable, especially as I had my two young daughters with me. I had to keep the door open to ensure they didn’t lock themselves in.
The benches have two slabs on the sides, which can be a trip hazard – my daughter actually fell, so this really needs to be addressed.
On the plus side, the staff were fantastic – friendly, kind, and engaging, exactly what you want in a restaurant.
Overall, I will definitely be...

From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting ambiance set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional dining experience. But let’s talk about the food—because that’s where this place truly shines. We tried lamb shank, chicken burger and some waffles 😊
The lamb shank was nothing short of spectacular. Very tender, it was slow-cooked to perfection and served with a rich, flavorful sauce and mashed potato that complemented every bite.
Their burgers are a whole experience on their own—juicy, stacked high, and made with high-quality ingredients. Each bite was a balance of textures and flavors, with buns that were perfectly toasted and toppings that didn’t overpower the star of the show: Portuguese chicken.
And don’t even think about skipping dessert. The waffles were a dream—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, we tried the lucky billionaire waffle - it was topped with just the right amount of indulgence(Ferraro, strawberries and Oreo) and you won’t be disappointed.
From start to finish, the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A must-visit spot that gets it all right—from hearty mains to...
