DANGEROUS DO NOT GO THERE. METAL FOUND IN THEIR FOOD. We ordered sausages and found metal pieces in them and could have been so dangerous if we didn't check. We asked for Manager and he turned up so rudely and told us it's normal to have it sometime rather than acknowledging their mistake and apologising. The staff went so rude with us on complaining such a dangerous food preparation quality by Sanpa. We are going to raise it with authorities as its not safe to go there. Very rude staff and Manager. He needs training on acknowledging his mistake. Reporting them to Council and Food Agency.

A reasonably priced independent Spanish restaurant/tapas bar, well located in Wokingham and now relocated to a period timber framed building off the high street. Tapas were OK, churros were good, the service was so-so. Could be great with a bit of extra effort and care. Update: second time around about six months later. Service was much better this time and although the menu hadn't changed, our group (mainly Spanish and Columbian nationals) enjoyed the tapas and seafood paella. A few more "bocadillos" would make the menu perfect for almuerzos/brunch!

I love Spanish Tapas and I was pleasantly surprised with the meatballs, the patata bravas, the white sangria and even the bread. Though the chilli garlic sauce of the prawns were delicious, the prawns could have been better with a tad bit more of cooking. The churros were so light and crispy and went really well with the dark chocolate sauce. Yum! I will come back to try some more, especially the black paella and the chicken fajitas as they looked nice on the other tables :)

Came for the second time, the last approximately a year ago as we visit relatives in the area and honestly, we will never be returning.

For the amount you get and the quality, the food is over priced. The potatoes that were served looked almost off, they were so brown and mushy, not like any patatas bravas I've had anywhere, they looked like they'd been sat in the bottom of a fridge for two weeks before being fried off. The prawns were probably the best tasting dish but seriously over priced for 8 tiny prawns.

Moving away from the food, all you can hear from the kitchen are microwaves and timers constantly going off. I have never been to an authentic Spanish restaurant, in England or Spain, that uses timers to cook simple items and I don't even care to know what they were microwaving continuously. They also don't seem to understand that a lot of people speak Spanish nowadays, including children as this is now a standard class in my daughter's primary school and at 9 years old she is basically fluent, so let's not discuss what my 13 and 15 year olds understand, so to hear the chef shouting and swearing at the top of his voice in English and Spanish at and about the poor teenagers working the floor is not only unprofessional but honestly, disgraceful. I hope this gentleman does not have children of his own. Considering timers and microwaves do all his work for him, I don't understand his problem.

Last year there was a lovely tall gentleman who went above and beyond for our family meal, maybe these were issues last year when we visited but the service he had provided to us and the children was so exceptional that we obviously hadn't noticed. Unfortunately it transpires he has left and gone to another tapas bar, in all honesty, I don't blame him.

Maybe having a man with anger issues and inexperienced teenagers running a restaurant isn't a great business model, if it were a chain I would possibly be a bit more forgiving due to high turnovers and training staff, but this is supposedly a family owned and run restaurant where the turnover doesn't change much according to family members.

Personally I'd rather pay for flights to Spain for the family just to go for one meal as it would be less stressful and actually authentic compared to what this...

Can't even handle me ordering a tortilla de patatas. I know a lot of Spanish people like their tortilla left uncooked in the middle, so that's why I specifically asked for mine to be cooked all the way through. When they brought it the centre was still raw and gooey. After I complained, when they took it to the kitchen to 'cook it some more' it was still gooey in the middle when it came back. Also, the potatoes inside had obviously been overdone, and were mostly mashed. More like a potato cake than a tortilla.

Seriously, I could have cooked a better tortilla. The cheapest bars on the backstreets of Madrid have cooked better tortillas than this place. The olives are pretty bad as well; tough, and plastered in olive oil to try to mask it. The only saving grace of this place is that it's cheap. Probably because they don't make their own Russian salad or green salad from scratch. Both taste like they were bought ready made. Green salad was dry as anything.

For a really nice Spanish tapas bar, save up for a trip to London, and hit up Meson Don Felipe. Cheap and...

Unfortunately after dining at Sanpa last night for our first trip to their new venue we left feeling very disappointed. We waited half an hour to even get served with a drink, then after finally ordering we received 2 out of our 6 tapas dishes 40 minutes before the other 4 arrived and at this point we were told they didn't have calamari on the menu even though the waitress took our order for it the other waiter said they hadn't had if for the last 6 months!! The restaurant was freezing cold and we all sat in our coats. Whilst we were waiting to order another group of people came in who said they had booked a table and the restaurant obviously double booked and had no space to fit them in so they left very disgruntled. The couple behind us had asked several times to pay and in the end left without paying the whole place was a complete and utter circus! After this experience I will not be returning which is a shame after enjoying the experience at the previous venue. There were no apologies, the service was...
